for the Nokia 5185i:Excellent "Fringe area" phone
This is the only phone I have tried that works right here in my house in the Appalachians. I've tried the newer Nokias and a Motorola, and they receive NO signal at all. The downside is a battery connection that does not stay in contact all the time and limited memory for contact information. Otherwise, this is the best phone I have owned to date and have found nothing newer that can replace it.
