for the Apple iPhone 3GS:
Iphone 3GS
I use this phone on the Fido/Rogers network in and around Toronto, Canada. I got the iphone when it first came out in the summer of 2008, was disappointed in its support for Microsoft Exchange, calendar performance etc, got rid of it. Fast forward now, since the 3.0 update, Exchange support is much improved, sideways keyboard is huge benefit, 3GS is faster, voice dialing is a major addition but needs some work in terms of accuracy. No phone that ...

for the Nokia E71 / E71x:
Back to good old reliable Nokia
I am back to Nokia, coming from the iPhone. I have owned the E61 and E61i in the past, so I am very familiar with these phones. This little, and it is little compared to it's brethren, is a power house. Fantastic battery life, full 3G (I have the NAM version), support for every kind of messaging. I tried the Mail for Exchange and its come a long way from the past, however I had bought RoadSync in the ...

for the Apple iPhone 3G:
Why I fell out of love with the iPhone
Had the phone since launch day on Fido in Canada, only got it because it cost me nothing but my Fido dollars. Wow factor is fantastic, but I am a business user and was leary of the lack of a keyboard. Lots of nice to haves, applications that are cool, few that are very useful. Support for Microsoft Exchange has a long way to go, but works for the most part. My first handset developed a dead pixel, returned ...

for the Samsung BlackJack II SGH-i617:
Blackjack II
I have used many phones in the past 10 yrs, from flip phones to blackberries, to Palm Treo's and this phone by far, suits me the best. It's small, but not too small, sleek, packed full of features, has amazing sound quality and has not crashed on me once. Every phone has its idiosyncrasies, and if you've used windows mobile phones before you know what I mean, but this is my first smart phone, I have used windows mobile ...

for the Nokia E62 / E61:
E61 after two days
This device is unlike anything I have ever used or owned. It delivers on every level it promises, speed of GUI, fast browser, wifi, sound, clarity of cell calls, stunning screen and stability. Sure it could use some refinement, nothing is perfect, but wow, what a difference coming from WM and Blackberry. Support for just about every kind of email imaginable, expandable miniSD memory, stable Symbian OS, GPS capability, WiFi, 3G, BT and it keeps on going...The best case ...

for the HP iPAQ hw6510 / hw6515:
Ipaq HW6515
I had a Treo 600 in the past as well as a SE P800, so I am not new to PDA style phones. I had been using a blackberry 7290 which did its job well, but if your company is not using a BB enterprise server, you are only using a very small percentage of what your BB is capable of. I wanted to fully sync with our exchange server, and be able to open all attachments, and ...

for the BlackBerry 7290:
Best of breed
Having previously used a BB 957 I am quite familiar with them and was getting tired of my Treo 600. I wanted email and the BB is the best and can't be beat for email. I was a little leery of the phone functionality but once I investigated the various models and found they were quad band with good reception I was convinced. Had a look at the 8700C but at $599 CAN its too much just for Edge ...

for the Sony Ericsson P800:
P800 is great!
Its so helpful when people give bad reviews without citing specific things they didn't like about the device. If you are looking for a pda/phone and don't want to spend a ton of money, then this is a good choice. It's a bit dated, not a quadband phone, but this is only relevant to people in north america. Its Symbian, not Palm, there is no acrobat reader for this phone, but if you download the latest software from ericsson you can ...

for the Motorola V710:
Terrible Phone for Telus users
I got this phone because of the bluetooth, I was excited about being able to pair it with my conputer and transfer rigntones and photos, I was never informed by Telus that, like Verizon in the US, the blutetooth on this phone is crippled. After I returned the phone I heard of a supposed 'hack' that can be downloaded but I really doubt its supported by Telus nor would they support it if it screwed up your phone. I'm ...

for the Palm Treo 600 (GSM):
Treo 600 Rogers GSM network (Toronto, Canada)
Had some experience with this phone in so far as configuring it for email. Used the default email client that came with the Treo and found it did not support rich text. Lots of time spent talking to Rogers tech support and Palm One tech support got absolutely nowhere. Ended up buying Snapper Mail which works beautifully. Other features reported to be working fine, although battery life can dwindle quickly when using email/phone features often. AM

for the Ericsson T39:
T39
This is definitely one of the best cell phones ever made. I had one for about 8 mos then decided I'd like a flashier phone, so I got a T616, used it for about 5mos and began to really miss my T39 (which I had sold) missed the great battery life, the small size, the screen I could read in sunlight, everything. So I found another one and I'm back to the reliable, small, tough, easy to use, feature ...

for the Sony Ericsson T200:
Sony Ericsson T200
A good little world phone. I have this phone as a backup to my T39 and my wife uses one as her main phone. My only real complaint about this phone is the phone book. The entries hold only one number per entry which is just crazy. Otherwise the phone has great reception and is easy to use. My other beef would be the battery. This phone uses a proprietary battery which fits in behind the back cover. One ...
