for the BlackBerry Bold 9000:
I've never had a phone like this before. A+!
I used my grandmother's upgrade to get myself a new phone, because she didn't want one. First I got the Samsung Jack, and promptly went through THREE of them. They all had the same issue: laggy OS (Windows Mobile 6.1) and a constant vibrating glitch. This would cause the Jack to vibrate constantly (for up to 20 minutes or more - I checked) when receiving a text and run down the battery. So, I waited for the store to re-stock ...

for the Samsung BlackJack II SGH-i617:
All that I hoped for.
I had an LG Shine, but after having four of them all with the same problems (no signal strength), I gave up on AT&T and bought myself a lightly used Blackjack 2 on eBay. I paid 205 after shipping, which is roughly half of what they cost new, outright (no contract). So far, I'm extremely pleased with this phone. Pros: - loud ringer (something the Shine severely lacked) - full keyboard (amazing for texting) - signal strength (makes calls just fine where my ...

for the Motorola RAZR V3:
Three Defective Razrs = One Unhappy User
My experience with the Motorola Razr was terrible. And that's putting it lightly. The problems with my Razr(s) seemed to never end. I got my first Razr in January of 2007. One week later, it screwed up for the first time. It would "lock up." Battery and signal strength would both be good, but I would unknowingly be totally unable to receive calls and also unable send or receive text messages until I turned the phone off and back on. ...

for the Samsung SGH-A727:
My Experience with the Samsung A727
This phone came to me free of charge as a warranty replacement for my third defective Razr. I was very happy to get an obvious upgrade to my plain old defective V3 Razr. I had this phone from November 2007 until May of 2008, when I received the LG Shine as my graduation present. Overall, I liked the Samsung rather well. But there were always certain quirks with it that sever suited me... Pros: - loud ringer volume - camera works rather well for ...

for the LG CU400 / CU405:
Great Back-Up Phone with Okay Features
My best friend gave me this phone to have as a back up in case my LG Shine gets destroyed or quits, which is very likely. Anyway, this phone has been dropped a few times and has weathered the mis-treatment quite well. The camera is amazing for a VGA. And the ringer is extremely loud, which is good for me since I'm usually in noisy environments. It is quite bulky though, especially when open. But that's a small defect. Overall, I like it ...

for the Nokia 6030:
My ever-faithful back-up phone
I received this phone in May of 2006 as a GoPhone, purely to use in case of emergencies that should occur while driving. I had just gotten my driver's license, which led to getting a phone. Once we dis-continued my GoPhone usage and started me on a plan, the Nokia was placed in a drawer and seemingly forgotten about. Recently when my previous phone, a Samsung A727, lost its battery, I dug the Nokia out and used it again. And it ...

for the LG Shine CU720:
LG CU720 - Born to Shine or Born to Flop?
I received this phone in May of 2008, as my graduation present. It replaced my Samsung A727, which in turn was a free AT&T warranty replacement for my THREE defective Motorola Razrs. I was looking forward to getting this phone for a long time, because according to reviews and information, it appeared to be the best bet for me. Well, I'm on my second Shine now. My first one developed a nasty habit of shutting off when I slid it ...
