for the Apple iPhone 3G:
Nice upgrade to the original
Finally the iPhone 3G is here. This time around you've got some nice new features such as GPS, 3'rd Party Application support, and obviously 3G connectivity. There's also some design changes that actually make the phone look better in my opinion. You now have a plastic back that's supposed to boost signal strength, the edges are tapered, making actually look thinner than it's 2G counterpart, and the headset jack is flush with the device, meaning you won't need any weird ...

for the Sony Ericsson W580 / S500:
Great for multimedia use.
This is a great SE phone. Pretty good for multimedia use. It has a slot for Memory stick, charge, data, and USB ports. Camera quality is nice, has some pretty cool editing functions as well, to make the most of a photo youve just snapped. I havent tested the video quality, because I have yet to use it but I assume that its standard for what it is. Its a shame that Sony uses a proprietary headset port for their headsets ...

for the HTC Shadow:
HTC makes another pretty impressive smartphone.
HTC usally makes pretty good devices. That being said I was a little disappointed in the design. I felt that HTC should have just stuck with their usual sliding style, but then again thats just a personal opinion as this slider has some descent build quality. The slide springs right up and doesn't feel cheap. When you slide it, it reveals the suretype QWERTY keyboard which works surprisingly well. I though it would be as cumbersome and annoying as ...

for the Samsung SGH-T629:
Solid phone.
This was my very first phone, and I must say I was pretty satisfied with what it had to offer. Its your standard slider phone with some descent multimedia functions. It has a 1.3MP camera. I found photos to be of solid quality, definitely not the best but not the worst either. I also liked the photo editing options. They were fun to play around with. Though I was disappointed with the video record and playback, as they were ...

for the LG Shine CU720:
Very stylish and sleek slider.
For starters LG hit home with design. With a nice sleek shiny metal design, it definitely won't disappoint in the design department. This phone supports AT&T's 3G Data, so Cellular Video and all of the standard features are there. The keypad is very similar to that found on the Moto RAZR, which isnt a bad thing. Call quality was average for the most part. The user interface was pretty simple, which made it pretty user friendly but I felt ...

for the LG Voyager VX-10000:
Worthy upgrade to the enV.
I have to say that this device could have been better. For the most part it was pretty good, call quality was decent, so was audio. But video looked washed out and pixelated. I also felt the battery life could have been better. I got about 4hrs talk time out of it. It also has a web browser, which is pretty much the same as all the other WAP browsers around. Speakers were good for music. It supports Verizons ...

for the Nokia N95 8GB:
Makes some much needed improvements.
I was pretty disappointed in the N96 before, so I decided to give this one a go. First of all Nokia has added a few enhancements. A bigger 2.8" display, as well as a better battery, which lasts about 2 hours longer than the other. Other than that its has the same design, the phone runs alittle more smoothly thanks to Nokia doubling the RAM. But still it lags after a while. I also felt battery life was still ...

for the HTC Tilt 8925 / TyTN II:
Very Impressed
This phone has a nice feature set, buttons hold up pretty well. The QWERTY keypad is very spacious and intuitive. The OS runs pretty well, doesn't freeze up all of the time, like most WM smartphones I've used. Its got some nice productivity features that would please business users. Also a 3.2MP camera that takes some pretty good stills, though I felt video record was barely average. So models also feature a second camera for Video Calls. Call quality is ...

for the HTC Wing / P4350 (Herald):
Not what I expected.
This phone is pretty good. It has a nice design, pretty decent call quality, Wi-Fi works great, and the touchscreen is also very snappy sometimes. It got the typical HTC feature set, and very good battery life. Its using Windows Mobile 6 right out of the box, and this OS tends to freeze alot unless your always closing programs from the task manager. The camera works pretty nicely. Bluetooth does what its supposed to do. I have a few ...

for the HTC Dash / S620 / S621 (Excalibur):
Pretty good device.
The first time I got this phone I was impressed by the feature set. Its nice and sleek, fits well in my pocket. If youve upgraded the OS to Windows Mobile 6 then some of the bugs will be fixed. From my time with it I've experienced frequent freezes or crashes, typical WM smartphone. Other cons I have about it is the EDGE data, though the nice addition of Wi-Fi makes up for that drawback. Pocket IE is not ...

for the Apple iPhone:
Best Multimedia phone there is.
Now no phone is perfect. The iPhone is no exception to this statement, especially since it lacks standard features. That being said, for what it is, its pretty amazing. The interface is brilliant, and the OS runs just as smoothly as an OS on any desktop. The touchscreen is amazingly intuitive, and this phones web browser is the best there is. Its a shame it likes 3G support, but you do have outstanding battery life and the wi-fi works ...
