for the BlackBerry Storm 9530:
NOT The Perfect Storm
I wanted to like this phone but unfortunately after many looking many times before purchasing and finally taking the leap, I found myself sorely disappointed and yearning for my reliable Curve 8330 back ... so I had to exchange it and go back to the stone ages. Here were some of my major issues with this device (even with the updated software): Screen was unusable when BB was flat on a desk. Typing is nearly impossible if you're not completely stationary. There was ...

for the Motorola PEBL U6:
Unusually Perfect
I don't think I've ever given a phone a 5.0 before. Until now. This phone is perfect. It's the perfect size, has a perfectly visible and colorful screen, a perfect keypad to text on, perfect sound quality, perfect ring volume, perfectly effective vibrate, holds a great signal. The camera is fine for a VGA and it does everything I do often WELL (talk and text!) It's colorful and attractive ... feels good in the hand. The flip mechanism is fun. Gets ...

for the Motorola SLVR L7c:
Darn, so close...
This phone is cute, it runs well, and it's nicely done overall... until you get to voice quality. What absolutely, totally, and completely 100% ruins this handset is the placement of the microphone. Unless you hold it up to your right ear with no wind whatsoever and very little background noise, nobody can hear a word you're saying. It's frustrating to have to keep repeating yourself - especially because Verizon is generally a good network for voice quality. Everything else about ...

for the Motorola KRZR K1m:
Eh... not so hot.
Maybe it was just VZW's software that made me not so hot on this phone... and it would have been a better phone with the Moto interface ... but I felt that the k1m was not one of the best Motos I had experienced... Pros: Good build quality Good voice quality Cons: Verizon software Cramped keypad - tough to text Fingerprints like KRZY (where do you think they came up with the name?) This phone was just too narrow to function the way I needed it to ...

for the Motorola Q Global / Q9h:
Excellent Smart Phone
I must first say that this phone is going back, but it's not because it's not a great smart phone - it's just because I would rather have a regular phone. Having prefaced my review with that, this is an excellent piece of work by Motorola! Data is fast, voice quality is good, speaker quality is even pretty good (they're never great), ringers are loud, keypad is extremely well-designed ... the software moves quickly on the phone, which keeps us ...

for the Pantech Duo C810:
Cool Idea, Poor Implementation
This phone is a great CONCEPT. Here are the Pros and Cons... Pros: Very useful dual-slider design, well-constructed Good voice quality Loud enough ring, average vibrate Quick downloads Memory card slot Cons: Windows Mobile software does not run well on this hardware - it feels like it was just tossed on Sometimes does not register key presses Doesn't quickly change screen orientation when you turn the device QWERTY keyboard gives too little feedback Slow to render web pages, cannot render more complex ones Unbelievably slow AIM! "It's just as fast as the ...
