iPhone 4 continues Apple dominance
I finally switch to the iPhone with the 3GS and have never regretted it. Previously I have a Nokia e71 (great phone, but worthless for anything else) and a Motorola Q9 (good phone, mixed other software but confusing menu and constantly rebooting to release memory. The iPhone may not be best in class in every category, but its no lower than #2. Has the most complete, easiest app store, can do everything without ever looking at instructions From ...
iPhone convert
I have used WinMo (Motorola Q9h-good, not great) and Symbian (Nokia E71-overated junk). Listened to friends rave about their iPhones and thought they had just drunk the kool aid. After junking a E71 after 6 months of frustration, I finally went and got the 3GS and understand now why it has rewritten the rules for smart phone. The good The interface-nothing else comes close. There are so many layers of menus that just don't make much sense (to get to any pictures saved on you chip take 4 to 6 clicks), task manager and the need to shut down apps is annoying. That said, I would buy the phone again. Pros great call quality good (not great) signal strength great speaker phone great ...
great phone EXCEPT for email
Overall its a good phone. Screen is excellent, phone is responsive, menu is greatly improved and very intuitive. Battery is ok, typical for any 3G phone. The killer for being a great phone is the email app that at&t saddles it with. Rather than a dedicated email client, the phone is stuck with a java email client from a company called OZ. At its best this app is easy to set up for any of ...
