for the Motorola Droid Turbo:
Late to the Party
18 months after launch this phone is blazing fast. I had to pick up a replacement phone, while my G4 goes in for repair. The price was right and the turbo has some bells that my G4 doesn't have. Specifically, the turbo sounds GREAT as a phone, has splash protection. I've always liked Moto Assist and no I don't think Android's offering is better. The front facing camera on the Turbo, is a joke at ...

for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (GSM):
Great Enhancements
First of all, on T-mobile the call quality has been great. The signal appears to be more stable, there's no dropping off and on and the data speeds have been great. . The camera is really GOOD!!! The pictures are great in so sorts of light. I don't like the picture zoom too much, but it may be some technique to it that I haven't figured out. The feel of the phone is ...

for the Nokia Lumia 521 / 520:
Good Signal/Great Call Quality
OK I use to be a Windows phone user before Android. I handed my elderly mother and 14 year old, older androids that I had in storage and the Androids are too complicated. The interface is a little bland, but for $80 the phone hit the high points. The call quality is nicer than some higher priced phones, the internet speeds were respectible and the phone connects well to Tmobile and Wifi. I streamed a ...

for the LG G3 (GSM):
UI Lite; Nice Balance
First of all, the screen is hypnotic. The clarity is amazing and I found myself constantly touching the screen the first day. I was impressed with the device speed and smooth operation. I was TOTALLY Impressed with the amount of screen that was available for the device's "relatively" compact size. I felt, the G3 did a better job staying connected to the Tmobile network than a Samsung product. I’m a Galaxy lover at heart ...

for the Motorola Moto X (GSM, 1st gen.):
Great Phone; Limited Network
I had this device for less than 3 days on AT&T's network. There were serious latency issues that the carrier tried to fault the device. Text messages arrived 45 minutes late, calls went straight to voicemail. It took as long as 30 seconds for a call to connect. When completing a Google Now command you had to wait for the phone to be released by the network to be ready for the next command. ...

for the Motorola Moto X (Verizon, 1st gen.):
All Hands On The Wheel Phone
For the record this is a better device on Verizon's network than AT&T. There were no latency issues when using Google Voice on Verizon's network, I could issue a command and immediately reissue another command without waiting for the network to 'regroup'. The Moto X is my mini co pilot while driving many miles per month. I've set alarms with voice commands, which is great when you are half tired. The Touchless control works ...

for the Samsung Galaxy S III (Verizon):
A Definite Game Changer
I started with the RAZR MAXX. There was some hiccup with the ICS update and after 3 resets there were still software hiccups. I exchanged the MAXX for the S3 and I'm thankful for the decision. The biggest benefit of the MAXX was the battery, but after the ICS update the appeal was lost. The MAXX has a sturdy build, but most of it's features (not all) is the same thing you were ...

for the HTC EVO 4G LTE:
Nice Comeback
I thought before that it took Sprint a while to come out with a nice phone, but I actually believe Sprint has had a few hits in the past few months. I've had the EVO 4G LTE for a day now and running it side by side with a Samsung SII, this device has faster download speeds on '3G". As for no LTE, the network operator actually has eHRPD as the network mode, which is a stop ...

for the HTC Sensation 4G:
Call Quality Could Be Much Better
The phone had excellent performance, however, it missed it's 'high end' mark with call quality and in door photo quality. I had to return the device because the call quality was simply unacceptable. I heard my callers better, after a SIM card swap, however my calls on theother end sounded as if I were speaking into a tin can. I take business and personal calls on my device, so a good to excellent call quality is ...

for the Motorola Cliq 2:
G2 Alternative
I ran into a signal dropping problem with my G2 and after 2 G2's, I opted for something different and went for the Cliq2. SPEED The HSPA+ devices loads/downloads faster, but the Cliq 2 isn't too far behind. DISPLAY The Cliq 2's screen 'pops' in comparison to the G2. KEYBOARD I was able to quickly gain speed with the Cliq 2 keyboard. I think the hexagon shaped keys gives you more area to be in concise with your ...

for the LG Optimus T:
GREAT FREE PHONE
Based on the review listed on Phonescoop, I was not expecting to be satisfied with the phone. I got this phone for my 17 year old son and upon setting it up, I felt the display quality was bright and crisp. I think the colors are rich, not as rich as a G2 or amoled display, but rich nonetheless. I was expecting muffled call quality, but since my son doesn't talk much, I didn't think it would matter. ...

for the HTC myTouch 4G:
Substance, Style & Character
This is a beautiful phone with a quality build and the color options really give it character, without making it too childish. The screen display is very nice, the customized user interface shows that T-Mobile put some good thought into the OS. The swype for typing is amazing, the call quality is pretty good and the music playback is great. The phone feels great in the hand and can be operated with one hand. The camera ...

for the HTC G2:
Expresso Would Be a Nice Addition
I like this phone enough to leave my EVO. The pictures had more clarity with finer details even though it is a 5MP, compared to the shots I took with my EVO. The speed benchmark tests were consistently faster than the EVO (this was comparing the Sprint 3G to the HSDPA service not their HSPA+). The internet rendered pages faster than the EVO, the MAJORITY of the time. The call quality was better than the ...

for the Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy S):
Near EPIC
The call quality on the Epic is just OK, but a good bluetooth helps. The phone is near awesome & very practical. It’s fast, responsive. I thought I had a flaky BACK button, but I learned you have to press it as if it were a physical button and not just tap it. OK that turned around for me, immediately. Touchwiz is cute and not overpowering. I like the widgets that are included it ...

for the HTC myTouch 3G Slide:
Goldilocks
This phone is an absolute winner. I had Sprint service and I had the EVO and tried every other Android on the Sprint network, but couldn’t find the right speed, with the right battery life, with the right glitch free experience, with the right size where I didn’t feel as if I would drop it. I felt like Goldilocks, “This Android is WAY too big and the battery doesn’t last long at all. This Android fits ...

for the Samsung Intercept:
A Better Fit
I had the EVO for two weeks and returned the phone. I felt I really wasn't tapping into it's power and for my needs the HERO and Moment were fine, so why pay extra. Another 3rd party site gave it a good rating despite the downgrades so I thought I would try it. I had some lag with each Android phone I've used, including the EVO, I just accept it as part of the territory. ...

for the HTC EVO 4G:
A Worker Bee Phone
This is my 3rd Android phone. I love the technology so much that I've cascaded phones to my teenagers when they were due for an upgrade. The phone is great. I'm not a gamer and I'm in a weak signal area when I work. I download and listen to music, check emails routinely, text, use an application or two and answer a few phone calls. My battery lasts from 5:30am to 5:30pm, and I'm not in ...

for the Samsung Moment:
Intoxicating!!
I found the HERO intoxicating and went through withdrawal once I turned it in due to battery life. The Samsung MOMENT was recommended and after a bit of research I decided to give it a try. After four days, I'm hooked. PRO KEYBOARD (it has one) VOICE COMMAND (dedicated raised button) CALL QUALITY (excellent) PROCESSOR SPEED (noticeably faster) ANDROID APPLICATIONS (in your hand) AMOLED SCREEN CON BATTERY You should expect to recharge by the end of your day. Or keep a spare ...

for the Nokia E71 / E71x:
Dated....
I have 30 days to decide to stay with my current carrier or leave. Based on the review of this phone, I thought I would be migrating to ATT. Not so. Call Quality was as if I was talking in a tin can. This is not acceptable for a higher priced phone and and higher price plan package, becuase of the phone. The internet seemed responsive, but screen too tiny to be functional. So don't see ...

for the Samsung Jack i637:
Anemic for a PDA
I evaluated this phone (and the provider service for a week) and I returned the phone (and kept the Samsung Intrepid). The call quality was EXCELLENT. The Music quality was EXCELLENT. It was nice and small, but compact size meant readability issues for me for both using the keypad and reading the screen. Hotmail had to be configured differently than Yahoo to work. Bluetooth features were 4 to 6 clicks down(this should be easier to access). ...

Jan 4, 2010, 12:03 PM
for the Samsung Intrepid SPH-i350:
Pretty Good; Very Useful
I have had this phone for about 5 days. The user interface took some getting use to and I'm still learning. Everyday I find something I like a little more. Good signal reception underground in metro and on elevators. Voice quality is pretty good. Music player is nice. Battery life is very good it lasted all day on moderate use. 14 hrs(2hrs MP3 via bluetooth, some web surfing, maybe a total of 3hrs ...

for the HTC Snap S511 (CDMA):
Value Priced Business Phone
I do not own this phone, but for what it's worth I evaluated it in the Sprint store and made a few calls from the phone. The voice quality on the calls was excellent. The phone is VERY lightweight and the interface worked smoothly. The MP3 player sound was good, but not as good as another phone. The PIM was very good on this phone as well. I decided not to purchase this phone because ...

for the Samsung Exclaim M550:
Excellent Phone
This is a great phone. DISPLAY - The design of the phone caught my attention, the display KEPT my attention. Excellent resolution and clarity for phone. SOUND - The sound quality on voice calls is excellent; like a landline. The sound quality on the MP3 player is very good, as well. SIZE - The phone is not too heavy or too large for my hands; fits nicely in the palm of my hand and feels like I'm ...

for the Sanyo Katana Eclipse:
It's All That!
I like the DLX, but the Eclipse is a definite step up. I haven't gotten around to the GPS service. Camera is OK, but I don't use my phone as a camera much. I haven't found web browsing that practical on a cell phone (even with my old Treo), but it's nice to use Music store, TV and check weather. I like a one hand operation of a phone for dialing. I like to ...

for the Sanyo MM-8300:
After All These Years
I got this phone back in 2005 and I was sold on Sprint and the phone's crystal clear sound quality. I was pleased to learn recently, that I could resurrect the phone, when another one was lost. It still works well for calling, basic texting, and as a camera taking pictures.. It's been dropped a few times but I wouldn't say it was abused. It's a solid performer.

for the Sanyo Katana DLX:
Solid Phone with Many Uses
I left the Treo 755p for the Sanyo DLX. The voice clarity is better. I expect the MP3 player to be able to download songs CONSISTENTLY. This phones gives me the option of suspending an application in the background... that didn't happen with the PALM. If I was writing an email with the PALM and a call came through I would have to start my email ALL over again. The Sanyo DLX has well ...

for the Palm Treo 755p:
Up and Running Quickly...
I have had the phone for three days. The last PDA I had was not a phone and had a Windows interface, so I was not familiar with the PALM interface. Nevertheless, I figured out a few things quickly, but I also understand there is a lot more I need to learn to fully take advantage of all the features. BASICS PRO Ringer Volume Sound Quality Multiple Input Options (Touch(the)Screen, stylus and keypad) Browser is quick Calendar (planner) is an upfront button Can ...

for the HTC 3125 / Smartflip / 8500 (Star Trek):
It worked..
I have had the phone for 8 months and I am not retiring the phone. The ring volume is the biggest concern, which lead to the other problems. You can only use certain phone cases for this phone to hear it, but the phone needs a extra protection in a Neoprene sandwich case. The only problem is in case that covers the speakers, you will miss calls because in a typical mid noise environment (office, home, ...
