Blackberry Bold - Any Problems

in the BlackBerry forum

Hello I am considering purchasing a blackberry bold. I was at the ATT store yesterday and was told that the current batch of phones being sold have hardware problems which is causing calls to not connect or to have calls dropped. Has anyone heard about this? Are there any problems related to memory and applications running on this phone?

Hello I just bought my Blackjack a week ago. I have been trying to install the active sync 4.5 software on 3 different computers and I have gotten different results each time. I have been successful on only one computer. Cingular chat has tried to help but they have not succeeded. I tried Microsoft support and I got someone in India who gave some very unintelligent advice (msconfig) and the level 2 support person at Samsung had no idea ...

Hello I am getting the phone tomorrow. Hopefully the dealer will do the upgrade. I am very anxious to leave Verizon now. Also we are going to really test these phones out for 30 days. Andrew

Signal Pulling and Batteries

Hello I am thinking about buying this phone. How good is this phone in respect to pulling a signal in difficult areas? Does this phone come with 1 or 2 batteries? There is talk of a second battery in the review here. The Cingular site says you get 5.5 hours of talk time and the review says 3 hours

Hello I am now looking at this phone when I switch over to Cingular. How good is this phone at signal pulling? I am looking for a phone that will do well out in the back country. I know that I will not be able to call in every location, but if there is a chance of getting a call out how well will this phone work? Andrew

True - Perhaps I should have some funeral songs downloaded as I lay down dying under a nice tree. I think we beat this thread to a pulp.

There is always someone with a dry sense of humor like me. Of course watching videos and taking pictures will drain the battery and then you have nothing.

Hello Reception and the ability to make calls is very important. After all, one cannot use a camera, video recorder or mp3 player when you need to make a call for an emergency. I do camping and backpacking and this is why I ask the question.

Hello I am about to switch to Cingular from Verizon due to too many problems with customer service and coverage. What are the best phones that Cingular sells that will pull the best signals? I want a phone that in the back country that can get a signal (provided there is a tower) reliably and have good amount of talk time and not weigh a ton and is reliable. I like what I see in the Razr v3xx. Andrew

Redception, Reliability and Battery Questions before Purchase

in the Motorola RAZR V3xx forum

Hello I am about to switch to Cingular and the V3xx phone looks good. Questions: 1. How good is this phone in making calls especially in areas such as the mountains and deserts? 2. Is the front cover plastic or glass (as mentioned by the dealer) 3. The battery life does not look great as far as talk time is concerned. Does taking it to 2G mode help and if so how much? 4. How reliable is this phone?
