Only have to put $50 down and you get a much better experience than any Best Buy can give.

You do realize you can't really do that, right? Once a phone is sold, it's ESN is cataloged. Sprint will not allow it to be activated until it's been refurbished. The phone must go off to repair, and have it's programming flashed otherwise the one time unlock code won't work... true, you could call in and get the master code, but at that moment you'd be told it was a previously activated ESN. If you guys had found ...

If your local store still has it, go with the 6555. It's an awesome phone. If I had seen this earlier I'd have said go with a SE 580 since it was $29.99 this past week, but the prices changed tonight back to $49.99. Still, an awesome phone for the price. Another good phone to consider is the Samsung Peridot 737 slider. Excellent reception.

My above all suggestion is see what works best where you are. Every carrier has a coverage map.. pull 'em up and see what the coverage is in your area. It makes no sense to get involved with another carrier if that carrier won't serve your needs any better. If Sprint (or any other carrier) is a good fit for you... go with it. As I said in another post burried in a reply.. the key to ...

There's your problem... Never deal with the online system. If you do a warranty swap, do it in store. See real people. I serve many customers a month who never have a single problem with Sprint. It's quite easy... Get the right rate plan Get the right packages (text / vision) Get the right handset Get the service plan / insurance Yes.. you may pay more than you thought you should for the minutes even though you plan on talking ...

Sprint's too big to die. That's the plain and simple truth. While they are having problems, most of us who have been in the business a while realize that this is just a passing problem that every carrier faces at one time or antoher. Sprint won't die though because their assets preclude them from that faith. They own major bandwidth, physical infrastructure and other intangibles that mean that at the very worst a buyout of the company is as ...

If you're looking for a very well made and solid phone, that's the one you want. * Sturdy hinge construction * Well laid out keypad * Sanyo (of course) * Voice SMS ability * Great Speakerphone * Media card slot * Headphone port One of the best Sprint phones out there right now that's not a PDA phone.

I'm by no means a Verizon fan.. but the ETF policy it and other carriers have is fair. Here is why. In the US the ETF offsets the subsidy of the handset. You're saying terminate the service and give back the phone... and be done with it. Well, you can do that within 30 days with most carriers. You want to do it outside of that? Can you return that car you bought off the ...

This phone I see as being a double win for Sprint... It gets Nextel customers off the iDen network... which has to start happening soon. It also provides something that many Sprint customers have been asking for. This is a durable phone. It's mil spec rated. What's the attraction here? Business customers who don't necessarily want Direct Connect but do want a durable phone will get this. That was Nextel's niche, and now ...

No questions there... I totally agree. Commission worked great for a lot of us. It helped retain a lot of really good employees. I think the up tops need to understand "commission" is not necessarily a bad word. On the flip side, I'd have been happy if they would have upped our per hour pay, taken the accessory commission away and kept wireless spiff and service plan spiff. Our turnover rate wasn't quite that bad.. I'd say ...

Commission is basically a thing of the past... at least as far as most of us remember it. Now you make what is called "performance spiff". It's a percentage of your accessory dollars that you get if you make your $ / hour goal. I myself did pretty good during Christmas, but not as good as I did last year and the year before. For RS, sales were up big in my particular area. We had ...

That... hurt to read. Seriously. Your first mistake I think is going to Best Buy.. I mean.. why??? Second... the phone was defective. You'll want to talk to someone in receivable accounts. What you're going to have to do is set up a payment plan. I've known ATT reps to do this. Other than that... as much as I hate to suggest it.. get a small term loan and pay off ATT... make monthly payments on that loan. A defaulted cell bill will deep six your credit really quick. To be honest though, the first generation of "Chocolates" were pretty bad in terms of construction. Much like the first generation of Razors. It became popular through advertising and the rest followed suit. One thing I will give Verizon is that they promote the hell out of their phones. Where Spring advertises (not sure what those commercials are doing anymore) and ATT focuses on their network, Verizon puts many dollars into promoting their phones.

I wouldn't say that... LG and ATT / Cingular have had some awesome phones together... The CU500 still ranks one of the best phones ATT has had in recent years. The simple fact though is that LG is primarily a CDMA device company. It's easier for them to make CDMA style phones than GSM, just like it's easier for Sony Ericson to make GSM than CDMA. Companies go with what they know... and not too ...

I'd suggest the Samsnug A517. Your dad may not need the bells and whistles, but this phone features an MP3 player which means it's speaker is a bit better. The ringer is quite loud and the keypad is very nicely laid out. It's like a Razor and a Sync decided to have a baby... and the results are pretty nice. I've sold a lot of them.

Ehhh.. not so much. Verizon isn't a network, but a series of smaller networks and roaming partners. Their primary roaming partner is... Sprint for the CDMA 1900 bandwidth. Verizon's home network area is very very tiny in most of the US. As far as Verizon being approached first.. yeah, and Verizon didn't like the data requirments. AT&T felt they could absorb the data requirements for the phone and add a lot of customers... and they have been right ...

Because there's nothing else you could have done... and they won't want to admit it. You served the customer within the power you hold, and went above and beyond. The charges were the customer's responsibility. Customers sometimes hear exactly what they want to hear, not necessarily what a rep is saying.

The 6555 is a pretty good phone. Keep in mind, this is Nokia's first 3G offering. That said, battery life is pretty good for a 3G phone, but 3G phones have poor battery life compared to Edge data phones. That's just the way they work. The 6555 also is one of the first Nokia's I've seen that adopts a more standardized keypad. It's slow on initial boot and setup.. but after that few issues. ...

If reception is your problem, a 3G phone is not likely to fix it. Primarily, 3G is data packet transfer... right now at least. If you want the best call clarity and best reception then you'll definitely want either a Nokia or a Sony Ericson. Now the Nokia 6555 is 3G and does provide excellent reception. The Sony Ericson 580i is fantastic as well, and not 3G... so you get a great battery life there. ...

After reading the whole mess below, I'll chime in... It really depends on what phones you are using. Bluetooth does provide for the transfer of ringtones depending on the model of phone. The model of phone must be capable of FTP transfer via Bluetooth in the Bluetooth profile. Some are, some aren't. It's not necessarily a Sprint thing, but what features the manufacturer decided to include. So, which phones are you working with?

My last rep was a good guy. Very easy to get ahold of and help out. He'd drop by the stores and help sell. The hardest thing for reps I think is becoming comfortable with the RS style technique of selling. Some people come right into us to get a phone, others we do a "pure sell" on. Once you're familiar with how RS works, I think the rep is pretty comfortable.
