Re: lockline fraud and ebay
Feb 4, 2007, 4:01 AM
in the Sprint forum

I'm not fully sure I follow you. Did you buy a lost or stolen phone on Ebay, or are you trying to sell a lost or stolen phone on Ebay? If you purchased one, then file a complaint with Ebay, Paypal, and have Sprint look into where the lost or stolen phone came from. If you are thinking of selling a stolen phone, then don't do it. You can get into major trouble for doing that. If you purchased a stolen ...

Re: SERO plans up again

in the Sprint forum

And to get back with those two questions. No, you will not be able to keep the 23% discount and I wouldn't even ask for the $7 text plan. Remember, don't get greedy. A sero plan is a gift all in itself. Asking for more gifts on top of those is stupid stupid.

Re: SERO (Sero is only for new customers)
Feb 4, 2007, 3:53 AM
in the Sprint forum

You can only get a Sero plan from 1 of 2 ways. First, if you are a new customer. 2, if you leave Sprint for lets say Nextel, then come back to sign up with for a new account with Sprint. And if you do get a Sero, and you really don't work for, or no someone that works for Sprint, they might audit you. The only way to prevent that from happnin, is to spend a fair amount each month ...

Re: verizon????

Not yet. They are working on offering MediaFlo from Qualcomm, but they are worried customer will not pay extra for it. A lot of Verizon customers pay the $15 a month or Vcast because it is unlimited. Not because of the content it offers. See their music download numbers. They are still very low. So Verizon customer don't really have the taste for advanced media like those of other carriers. Plus VCast content doesn't work in CDMA 1x parts ...

Re: What is the problem with Sprint?
Feb 4, 2007, 3:41 AM
in the AT&T forum

Because Cingular keeps claiming lies, So Sprint then bashes them. Cingular is still claiming to have the fewest dropped calls, which is false. Every Internet wireless reporter exposed that lie. Cingular is still claiming to have the largest and fastes network, which again is a lie. Sprint has the largest network with their voice and data roaming agreements, and their data network is faster. EV-DO is much faster then EDGE. And Even Sprint's CDMA 1x is as fast as ...

Re: PDA Data rates
Feb 4, 2007, 3:35 AM
in the Verizon forum

No, Sprint is $15 a month for PDA data. I don't know where you got the $35 from. You might be thinking of the combo Power Vision media package. But PDA and phone data is $15 a month.

Re: Changes on the Verizon?
Feb 4, 2007, 3:34 AM

NOPE! Verizon doesn't care what other carriers are doing, they want Max profits. All carriers could offer free text messaging tomorrow, and Verizon will still charge 15 cents a pop.

Re: Verizon Pay-Per-Text Rate going up!
Feb 4, 2007, 3:31 AM

He would want to leave because Verizon sucks! Their service cost too much. They don't let you do anything. Only people that have no understanding of wireless phones and how to use them stay with Verizon. I can roam for free on Verizon's network for both voice and data anytime I want! So there will never be a need to go back to Verizon's horrible, child like service.

Re: I'd Like to Trade Q for 9900, Interested?

Goto sprintsers.com . They have a forum just for selling used phones. This is not really a good place to trade or sell phones.

Re: Verizon does not follow their own rules..........

File charges with the BBB and FCC. That is what I had to do in order to get out of my Verizon contract. It is so stupid! Verizon can lie and cheat to get you to become a customer. But they treat you like garbage once you relize their service sucks! File charges, because their care dept will not help. Trust me! You will go through 20 reps a day trying to get help, but in the end they will ...

Re: VZW User Interface
Feb 4, 2007, 3:24 AM
in the Verizon forum

NEVER!! Verizon uses BREW so you can't customize. They don't want you to change anything, or get anything for free. They want to control your service down to the smallest detail. As long as you are with Verizon, you will never get anything more out of the UI. You are their slave!

Who cares. The iPhone is nothing different. It has the same features as a Treo. People are just Wow over it being from Apple. Verizon didn't pass up on much.

Are you crazy? Verizon's PPT sevice runs on a horrible platform! That is why they never promote it anymore. You must work for Verizon.

Re: renewal fees for cingular
Feb 4, 2007, 3:10 AM
in the Verizon forum

They did the samething when they bought out AT&T wireless. Cingular charged AT&T customers a fee to change to a Cing plan. Now they are forcing their current customers to do the samething. That is why hate Cingular and NEVER plan on going back with them!

Re: Verizon wireless 59.1million and growing
Feb 4, 2007, 3:09 AM

Verizon is going to be the next AOL. Does anyone else remember how AOL locked down their software and service? How they made you use their browser, their e-mail client, and make you pay more for that? Then what happen? AOL lost 99 billion dollars in a year. They are bleeding money and customers every single day. Verizon now does the same thing!!! It is only a matter of time to when people wake up and relize that Verizon doesn't ...

Re: Advice - Unhappy with Verizon - Many broke phones
Feb 4, 2007, 3:04 AM
in the Verizon forum

Leave Verizon and go with Sprint. Sprint's insurance will cover any phone that is being used on your account, no matter if it is new or used. So you could buy a cheap, old school LG Vi5225, acitvate it on your account, and Sprint will cover it for you. Then when that phone breaks, Lockline will replace it with a newer phone. Verizon sucks!

The Chocolate sucks. Ever review out their has rated that phone low on the list. The M1 is way better.

Re: Motorla Q, HELP!

Don't buy the Q from Verizon unless you want to spend $44.99 extra a month. Go with Sprint, they only charge $15 a month.

Sprint74, what do you need to know? Send me a message and I will help you. People in here are just rude to newbies.

Re: NEW PTT SERVICE!
Feb 4, 2007, 2:55 AM
in the Verizon forum

Verizon will not be lanching it anytime soon. They need to upgrade their entire network to EV-DO Rev. A first. Then find a vendor that will support the new PPT standard. It's not going to happen anytime soon.

Re: Please Help!

You can't because Verizon locks down their software. The OS it not like Windows, you can't customize it. They own it, you ar then in turn stuck with it.

Re: 50% Roaming cancellation
Feb 4, 2007, 2:52 AM
in the Verizon forum

Name them? Put up some links? I know people right now that don't have any Sprint coverage in their area, that use Sprint, while roaming the entire time, and have never had any problems. Sprint has reciprocal roaming agreements now. That means their customers can roam into other networks for free, and those on the oposite network can do the same onto Sprints network. Sprint doesn't cancel accounts for too much roaming. The only carrier I have ever read ...

Re: THERE IS NO POINT, SPRINT IS BETTER!
Feb 4, 2007, 2:48 AM
in the Verizon forum

There is no point. People here that are defending Verizon are newbies or people that have mommy and daddy pay for their service. True hard working people see a better value with Sprint. Free roaming is a huge deal! Like you said you can set your phone to roam and use Verizon's network all daya and night. You can use Sprint's data applications like Telenav, MobiTV, Gmail, while roaming on Verizon's network. How many people here can use Vcast ...

Re: navigation with verizon and google
Feb 4, 2007, 2:31 AM
in the Verizon forum

I have used Google maps on my Sprint cell phone. You can't use it with Verizon though. The software is Java, and Verizon uses Brew. Plus Verizon locksdown A-GPS from their cell phones. The only services that can access the GPS chip in the phone, is E-911 and Verizon's GPS service. So basically GMaps and Verizon' GPS software are very different. The program that is basically the same as Verizon's GPS software is Telenav. Are you a Verizon customer looking ...

Re: Can you believe Alltel? Sprint has the largest network
Feb 4, 2007, 2:22 AM
in the Verizon forum

Sprint actually has the largest network in the US. Here is the math. Verizon reaches a POP of 247 million people. Cingular reaches 271 million people. T-Mobile reaches 230 million people. And Sprint reaches 255 million people. All of those numbers are without roaming. Alltel's numbers are tricky because they include roaming with Sprint and Verizon. That is why they claim to have the largest network. Now With roaming, Verizon reaches 287 million people. Cingular still stays at 271, but with some ...
