There are a lot of things that were left out so far as features. Now, I don't know if they intended for us consumers to just go with the idea that all of the S4 features will be included on the Note 3 but here are a few things I've found on several different sites; The enhanced audio output frequencies The IR blaster for remote control use Air Gestures (not Air Hover or Command) Speaker placement This is just to name a ...

Steppin' Up!!

in the Motorola Droid X forum

Morning fellow forum users, I've stepped up (from a BB 9550 to the "DROID X")and I'm loving every "step". Goodbye RIM, you've just got "TORCHED". Ok ok, enough with the dry humor. I'm needing a lil help with this unit. I'm trying to figure out how to make my phone vibrate and play the tone when I recieve an alert (sms, mms & email). I'm sure you're well aware that there wasn't much in the box. Lol. So any ...

I'm having the same issue as well and I'm running 109. I don't know why it's doing this other than the software upgrade and I don't want to go back to .75. I hope someone comes up with a solution soon. J-Boog

I downloaded it a few weeks ago and it's nice to look at. Something different from the default theme, but it makes the phone think all the time (instead of the clock it looks like a color wheel). Finally went back to the default screen but didn't delete app from the phone in case I decide to use again. Does use/leak a lot of memory even when there are no other applications are running.

Yeah, I get the same thing when I reach the 160 limit. "FIELD IS FULL". Kind of begins to be a pain and you have to now get to the point, if possible, of your text. Bummer. Guess it's a Verizon thing because I had a Dare as well and it would let you type more but was sent out as 2 seperate messages. Still lovin my Storm though!!

AWESOME!!!! Downloaded without a fuss just like you said and now it's free radio at your fingertips. Way cool. Thanks.....

Do you go to the Slacker website and download it? I'm on here tonight and I don't see anything that says it's available for the Blackberry Storm. Maybe I'm overlooking it in the Portable Radio section. But Slacker is a great site since Pandora is only leaning to the iPhone thingy.

Vibe and Ring

I just got my Storm and was wondering if there is an option that would allow the phone to vibrate and ring at the same time. Haven't really had the time to go through the manual and see but the forum guys here are always up on tips and tricks for the newest handsets. Thanks in advance people.

That Google app sounds great but if you opted for the VZ Navigator, then you'd get pretty much the same thing. I ran the app and went to search, then put in gasoline. In seconds, it gave me a pretty nice sized list of stations in the GPS area along with which one had the lowest gas prices. Sweet!!! But I'm gonna try the Google app today. Later Peeps......

Yeah, that's the decision one will have to make in determining which handset to get. I mean, I love the Dare too. I've never had a more HIP phone. The BB's are cool and all but they tried to get in the game with a touch screen phone. I'm just anxious to see how it fares against the Dare in simular features. But back to the previous post, do you want to pay an extra $30 for BB features ...

Thanks fellow phone scoop users. I didn't know the resolution had any affect on the functions but now that I've lowered it, I can actually zoom in. Once again, thanks for the quick and speedy responses to both of you, dwittmier and scorpio.

Not really sure if this is going to help but I have had several BB Pearls and when I switched to Verizon I got the Dare. Love the Dare but I was accustomed to being able to ckick on links sent in emails and then be redirected to that page. I've seen the previews for the Storm and it's hot!! It's almost simular in comparison to the Dare but you get more functionality with the BB. Hate to say ...

ZOOM??

in the LG Dare VX-9700 forum

I know this may sound foolish and don't laugh at me, but how in the heck do you zoom with the camera? When I use the video recorder, I can zoom with the volume button in or out but when I want to take a pic and zoom in I use the volume button I get nothing. I've read the "VAGUE" owners manual and I really didn't get anything from it either. Maybe I'm overlooking it all together but ...

I've had the same problem with trying to move the song to a ringtone. I've saved the music to the memory card. Moved the song(s) from the memory card to phone memory, and now it's in my sound. So you're saying in need to put the song in a MMS message and text myself the song? Wow, what a format just for a ringtone. I had a Samsung unit a while back and had to jump through a few ...

Ring Time

in the HTC Wing / P4350 (Herald) forum

Hello, Does anyone have a tip on how to increase the length of time your phone rings because it's almost like you have to have the thing in your hand to have even the smallest chance of answering it. And it's no better when it's in the default case T-Mobile sends with it. I know that buying another carrying case will solve that issue but please help me, if there is any help with the length of ring tone ...

Well this isn't about the text messaging issue but if you already have the music files on your device, how do you move them to make allow for them to be used as a ringtone? I know this might be a lame question but I just got my Wing.

Removing the "ABC" from the home page
Jul 9, 2007, 12:18 PM
in the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 forum

I thought that I had seen something in the forum about removing the pesky "ABC" icon from the home screen. It's on the top right hand corner and blocks the signal indicator and other things in different applications. It's useful when you're typing or texting but when you aren't doing that I don't have a need for it to be there. If there is any help out there, please send it my way. If it's already posted then direct ...

Great info. I'll try it sometime today. And I'm not sure if the so-called owners manual offered this information and if so I certainly overlooked it. But none the less, I want to thank you again for the response MrBoo. If I have any other questions I'll be sure to holler.

Does the Pearl offer Vibe and Ring ????????

Greetings all, I recently purchased the BB Pearl and I am loving it. I always come here and read the posts on any phone I own at the time and I must say you guys are very informative. My question is does the BB Pearl have a feature where it allows the phone to vibrate and ring and secondly is there a separate section for setting alert tones for either voice mail or text messages.
