VX-4650 Charging Question?

I just got a VX4650 and the charger from my VX3300 fits it perfectly and appears to charge the phone. Any reason that is not obvious why I cannot use my existing charger for the VX4650?

Stop screwing with the guy. It has nothing to do with the merger...you just happen to be picking up a Cingular signal. They have sharing agreements to use each other's signals. Nothing to do with the merger...not yet!

1. Go to the menu 2. Choose "MESSAGES" 3. Press Center menu button 4. Go to "VOICEMAIL SETUP" 5. In the "VOICEMAIL NO" field, enter your number, then use the menu button to insert a PAUSE, then your passcode and # (6105551212p1234#) That will do it.

Set your phone up as a Motorola T721. That is what I have done and it works perfectly for ring tones and pictures. I cannot speak for the games, I have not tried them. /Spencer

Not for free, but www.3gupload.com is a good site for ringtones, and graphics and you pay a one time fee ($6) for a years worth of downloads. /Spencer

I am in Pennsylvania. As far as using it with t-mobile, you simply put your SIM card into the phone and it will work. If you search back on this site, or the www.howardforums.com site, you will find setup instructions for setting up t-zones etc... Buying a AT&T phone is simply an economic decision. I can get the AT&T phone for $149. /Spencer

YEs, the V600 has full screen photo ID caller id. It is not just a small thumbnail. It works great actually.

If anyone is interested in a V600 who might be with T-Mobile or Cingular and wants a V600, I am going to sell mine now that I can get a AT&T phone. I will sell the phone, A/C power charger, Bluetooth headset, manual, original box, syncronization CD and cable. It is in perfect condition. No scratches, no cracks, only used for 12 days. The V600 is a great phone. I bought it from Plemix ...

BE CAREFULL of the face plates listed on this site. They are cheap plastic. Not metal like the Moto ones...because they are plastic, they do not stay attached to the phone. I complete waste of money. You will throw them out...like I did.

I would agree that the bluetooth headset is very weak and not very loud. The phone itself is great, the headset is a dissapointment. If anyone else out there has used others, it that typical...or are there other bluetooth headsets you would recommend? /Spencer

Paul, We are all out here waiting with bated breath for your AT&T review since you were able to pick yours up TODAY. how is it? what is different. Did you use the cable that came with it to sync your contacts yet. Any problems. how about the VMI and text messages...are they working okay? Please, post your review and pictures since you are probably the only person in the country to get their's today. ...

As long as all of your software settings are turned up, then I would say it is a phone thing. Honestly, this v600 is the loudest phone I have ever used. That is often a pet peve of mine...but this one I often turn down. I am running 1DR.A version. Mine was also very loud with the 1CR version.

Definitely a bad phone. My v600 is the LOUDEST phone Ihave ever used.

The National Business Center ordering center (whatever it is called) is consistantly telling me they can be ordered Monday with Tuesday/Wednesday delivery. I have spoken with about 6 people, all of which are saying the same thing. Probably a good sign. /Spencer

I am the "guy" who posted the math. You completely missed the point which others got. I paid about $350 for the phone...then I paid another $225 for headset, data cable and CD, additional face plate. All of which I would probably have bought anyway because AT&T does not include, or even sell the data cables for most phones. So, I will repeat...a little slower this time. 1. Yes, leave your SIM card in. 2. The phone will turn itself off when complete. Start with it on. 3. Each flash/flex contains ringtones and wallpapers. They will be different when you go from 1CR to 1DR. The games will also be different.

Cassie, I know that you are AT&T in Chicago. I am AT&T in the NE Pennsylvania market. Are you experiencing very, very long delays with text messages and very sporatic delays in voice mail notification on the phone. :? Is anyone else out there experiencing problems with the Voice Mail indicator light not working correctly with the V600 and AT&T? Or a fix to the problem? Also, has anyone noticed that text messages are working on a several hour delay with their AT&T service and the V600? Cassie, I went to 1DR also, but I am still having some serious problems with text messages and voice mail indicator. Are you having the same issues? Also, what version of FLEX are you running. It appears I am running GI9V600000AA0E9. /Spencer

Will a re-flax/flex correct the voice mail indicator problem? Is anyone else having the same problem? No one seems to be complaining about it. But I now seem not to be able to receive text messages, and the VM indicator light stays on, and I am not notified of new VM messages? Anyone have a suggestion?

Cassie, I have noticed tonight with a friend of mine who got a Plemix phone yesterday that his has 1DR software, and mine is 1CR. It appears that he is not having the voicemail indicator problem so I am wanting to update my phone. Can you provide directions including the steps and location to find the files I need to do this? Is it easy to do? Will it take long? Thanks in advance. /Spencer
