Like startup sounds, I emailed LG and not only got an inaccurate statement about Apple and Macs, but also they said that you can not turn them off.

Can anyone figure out how to disable the startup sounds and also some of the system sounds?

Thanks, My phone came with it enabled but I still couldn't send multiple files at once, this didn't change that. You should submit this to wikipedia

Are you asking if you can use cut down mp3's as ringtones. The answer is yes.
