I had the same problem - battery door loose and the trackball would have problems with horizontal movement. I took the phone back and exchanged it for a new one and I haven't had any problems since.
New customer with own equipment
I was given a BlackBerry 8330 from someone who used it previously on Verizon. The ESN is clear. I know that Verizon has a program where you can bring your own equipment (as a new customer) and be able to activate it without a contract. What is the name of this program? Some of the Verizon Rep's don't seem to know about it, so I want to refer to it by name when I call in to activate.

I still think that is incorrect. Looking at the Premier website for individual responsibilty accounts, it shows that you get a discount. If you really didn't, why would it show the $30 iPhone plan as "$24, originally $30". Also, looking at my contract it says nothing in there about a FAN discount not being applicable to iPhones. However, looking at my first contract for the original iPhone, there is specific verbiage to the fact that FAN discounts are NOT ...

Actually no he is NOT correct. I just received my first bill since signing up with AT&T and getting an iPhone. I received my 20% discount on the calling plan AND the $30 iPhone plan. So YES, you do get a discount on the iPhone. This has changed with the 3G iphone as AT&T no longer gives a portion of the monthly service charges to Apple. I totally agree as well. Switched over to AT&T for the iPhone and the service is horrible. I live in Los Angeles, so there really is no excuse. Their customer service is also terrible! Everytime you talk to them you get someone who is either totally stupid or sounds completely burnt out (or both). What a bad experience with AT&T!
AT&T coverage maps & poor signal
Has anyone else received misinformation with the online coverage maps at AT&T? Coming from Verizon, I was very skeptical about starting new service with them recently because I wanted to make sure I would get service at my home. But after checking coverage on the website and having the store employee show me the coverage on his computer (which uses a different system), I decided to go with AT&T cause the service is labeled "BEST" with 3G coverage. Just got mine from the Verizon store in Pasadena, CA. The phone is definitely a very dark brown and the inner face plate is bronze. This being said, when in certain light the bronze face plate makes the outer brown part appear "more brown". In other light, the phone does look almost black. What is very interesting is that on Verizon's website, the phone has been shown very clearly as dark brown. I just went online and it now ...
Question about Safari
If I am surfing the Internet using Safari on my iphone, is there a way to select and save a picture from the internet on my phone. As an example, on my laptop if I wanted to save a pic I found on the internet, I could right click and save. Anyone know?

Daniel - I understand what you are saying as I have the 8703 and it is annoying to have to log-in to a website each time to view a picture. It is also an inconvenience to remind anyone who might send you a picture that they have to do it via email vs. a picture message. I get your point, but apparently the others didn't. Yes, you can certainly setup filters through the web client or your wireless sync settings. You also have the ability to set certain messages to arrive as "level 1" which means you will be notified differently from your normal notification. Normal notification can be a tone (there are many to chose from), vibrate, or simply a flashing red light. The good thing about the BB is it has lots of options, so I am sure you can customize it ...

Those settings can only be controlled by VZW via the Octel system. The only options which you can change via your mailbox login are - removal of the numeric paging prompt & the language. Even my removing the paging prompt, you will still hear the first prompt indicating "at the tone please record your message..."
