Random restarts
Nov 26, 2010, 9:34 PM
in the BlackBerry Tour 9630 forum

Lately I'm getting a terrible case of my phone randomly restarting. It started with roughly once a week, then continued to once every few days, then became unbearable at once a day. I decided to take it to Sprint and they upgraded my software, and it just made it worse: 12 times in 2 days. So I just got a refurb one. NO change. Just reset no more than 3 hours after getting this phone. Anyone else have this ...

Bluetooth-no Music-not constantly, occasionally though. text-yes quite a bit use only about 500 minutes but they're usually in like hour- two hour phone calls.

How long does the battery life actually last?
Aug 17, 2009, 12:10 PM
in the Palm Pre (CDMA) forum

Everyone just says the battery life is short but like I had the HTC Touch and Mogul and I would have to recharge every night. Is it shorter than a full days worth? I'm also in pretty decent coverage area (with the exception of my school) so the switching between evdo and 1x doesn't happen often.

MediaMonkey should definitely work, and I like the interface very much.

in the Palm Pre (CDMA) forum

I can deal with a virtual keyboard, the only thing I hate about them is the only one I've ever had was on the HTC Touch with WM6.1 and it freezes so I have to press down for like 3 seconds for each letter to come up it gets realllly annoying. And when I type fast in the keyboard, where there's two letters to each box, it decides to spell words differently (like and becomes snd because I typed ...

AHHHhhhh I asked myself this same question!! I'm kinda mad there's no replies yet. Have you tried a phone with Android on it? Have you tried the Pre? Which would you rather be dealing with? I've personally only tried the Pre but I keep hearing really good things about Android... And since I have Google Voice I wouldn't mind having Android since I love Google's apps... Someone online said "More bussineess than fun - Blackberry. More fun than bussiness - Iphone Mix of both with a ...

I like reading the reviews here, but of course as reading any review; TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

A recent update screwed over the people with Pre's so it wouldn't sync with it. I would recommend MediaMonkey to do it instead.

I think he meant a program to go onto your WM phone to download programs directly. I dunno about you but I get confused quite often getting some of the programs off those sites. Half are .cab, some .exe, most don't seem to work..

I would agree with that. My Mogul had WiFi and I never ever used the WiFi on it..

Yet another decision I gotta make... Pre? or Tour?

Verizon doesn't deserve this phone anyways. Who wants features locked anyways?

Re: Sprint? are you kidding me?

I'm aware the Touch Pro got excellent reviews from Sprint's network which is great but if you look at the negative reviews here they all say "Verizon..." which gives it less than the score it deserves.

What about usb included so it syncs well? I only like removable memory if I can't direct connect it without spending extra money on a wire.

I'm going to say because Verizon likes to strip everything down to the bare minimum and with this new OS on it I doubt Palm wants that to happen. Verizon gives phones a bad rep. That's why phones like the Touch Pro have crap reviews.

Actually I do see a difference. It's crisper and better to look at. I went from a 65k to a 252k (right?) and it looked MUCH better IMO. And my friend has 16million and it looks even better. So yeah I do see a difference. Not color for color but overall.

They look fantastic on my computer, but small on the screen. Probably cause it's 65k color and a 2mp pixel... Does it look like crap on the computer as well?

I don't think you can and if you have a memory card, put a picture you would want (which I guess would be a solid color?) and put the picture on your memory card. Then go into tools>mass storage>file manager>memory card and find where you saved the picture (if you put it in albums you can just go to my albums in your phone) but if not find it and hit options>move>albums and it'll go to your phones albums.

Late reply but it was Sprint's fault. They were updating stuff for messaging and I guess between that a lot of texts got lost.

I have the M610 now and I might switch to Cingular so this phone probably will be good because it's close to the M610. M610 is very thin though.

Receiving texts
Mar 13, 2007, 4:19 PM
in the Samsung SPH-M610 forum

I dunno if this is the phone, but when I get messages sent to me, I never get them. Recently I have been told that they sent something and I never replied, but I never got it. Most of my friends have Verizon and one has TMobile and I get the problem with both.

50 in your outbox. The T9 is good but the one thing I don't like is it predicts the next word as well, and when you type it does get annoying. It's hard to explain.

Yes for callers, no for messages. It only tells you "New Message" but doesn't say from who until your open it.

I don't wanna spam this thread or anything but 1GB MicroSD for $16. http://meritline.com/a-data-micro-sd-1gb1.htm l Figured it would be helpful.

I don't think you can and yes it is annoying. When you end your text, put a . to not let another word come after. And if it's in the middle of typing, just continue and ignore it. It is helpful sometimes though.

Text Message alerts
Jan 10, 2007, 4:01 PM
in the Samsung SPH-M610 forum

Every time I get a text message, I don't get the little icon or a ringer (Vibrate I usually have). I have to go to miss alerts and look in there every so often for a message. Is anyone else having this problem? ALso, I set it as no ringer, always vibrate, will that give me the vibrate for a message? It hasn't been happening, but it might go with me not getting the message alert

1gb is a lot so there's no need for a memory card slot. Most people wouldn't even buy 1gb memory card for it. (My guess would be 512 the most). Still looks a little bulky though.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure its bigger than most screens today (18bit and 240 x 320 pixels)... and the Blade doesn't have the memory card slot, making the MP3 player almost useless...
