Since Cingular has won the bidding and will be buying AT&T Wireless, you are going to end up with Cingular by the end of the year anyway. So, it really doesn't much matter. Just go with which ever one gives you the best plan for your needs, now.

If you never find dead spots with T-Mobile, then you don't travel very far. The T-Mobile coverage is very limited. With my AT&T service, I can get service in very remote areas. With T-Mobile, if my car breaks down on a fishing trip to northern Minnesota or Wisconsin, I am without a phone. I can't roam and can't even call 911, once I am outside of their limited coverage area.
