parent companies are sk telecom and earthlink. earthlink kinda backed out financially so its pretty much just sk telecom. helio defaults to sprint towers for reception and 3g internet, and back falls on verizon if needed.

check it out at a local corporate store and see how much it is. if it costs anythign, tell them that u were on a business trip in chicago and passed by a kiosk and they were giving it for free with a 2 yr...most likely theyll match it

i own the ocean and make my own. not on the device itself (like ive seen some nokia phones have) but like cutting a song on the computer and sending it to myself....ive heard theres a way to do it on the fin as well but cant remember how exactly..

unfortunately, the plan cant be changed, especially the 99 promo. the best we could do is $10 off the 145 all in. as far as the ocean goes, $122 n some change

if u just wanted to manually check for new emails, go to ur ultimate inbox, press 0, then press the menu button (the left soft key). select "send/receive" and thatll let u know if u have any new emails. if u wanted to sync calendar or contacts, still go to 0, then click on the topic u wanted to sync, click menu (again, left soft key) and select 1 (itll say sync _____ either contacts or calendar depending on ...

personally, havent had any problems with it. only thing i can say was that i had to manually sync email from time to time to get it going but other than that it was alright.

150-ish : / (at 136 it starts saying "ur inbox is almost full, older messages will be deleted" but continues to hold more new ones)
thats the one thing i dont like about it, the fact that its designed for txt n pic messages but holds such a low amount of them...hopefully they roll out an upgrade to that at some point. my krzr used to hold 500 messages in both inbox and sent. wasnt that great of a phone ...

not sure as of yet to be honest with u...they just let out the fin a couple weeks ago..."rumor has it" that theyll be coming out with a successor to the ocean sometime before the holidays, not sure how thats going though....

most likely, yes. much like the sidekick, the ocean is probably going to be more and more improved and put out there better and better each time....there are rumors of it coming out in white sometime soon....

i think the best thing so far with the plans has been the family option with the all in. a lot of people are coming back for it and are pleased with it...u have no idea how many lines we've put out this past week and a half or how many people are coming back simply for the family plans

the lay off was only 15% and it had a lot to do with repetitive and redundant jobs, so there was really no need for them in the first place
Rumor has it...
that pantech is coming out with something for cingular thats extremely similar to the ocean, but a little thinner...has anybody heard this?

actually, in this case, it could be a possibility...the "fin" was sprints "glint" at some point...i believe there were some minor tweaks to it to become the "fin" (i could be wrong though) but its essentially the same phone

if u have it set up to a credit/debit card, its 195 (to the best of my knowledge, with tax and everything, it comes to roughly 210.60, in illinois anyway), at the time of purchase, u also have to pay a deposit, if any is required.
monthly bill is paid throguh the mail, im not sure about stores, but i know that kiosks can not accept payments.

havent really played with it yet cuz we havent gotten a demo phone, BUT, from what i know, this is what i think....
Pros:
-3 mp cam, BUT, no flash or zoom, BUT, has night vision
- does everything the ocean does, as far as HTML browsing, so on and so forth
-new feature being rolled out for ocean and fin to have turn by turn directions on the GPS,
- its thin and a flip (personally, i have a liking to flip ...

honestly,right now, no. either wait it out and rebuild ur credit, or have somebody else sign up for u using their credit.
as far as the 300+ deposits, the most i've personally seen is 325 (which is pretty steep, i know), but upon checking credit, we're required to log the amount and things like that, in order to help them adjust it. hopefully soon theyll fix it...we'll see though.

did they ever have that?? in store/kiosk, u must check credit, as is any other provider, so im not sure where that came from or if it was ever even valid...

all good :) as far as if its an MVNO for both, im not sure, it might not be. according to training and what we're supposed to tell customers, we "run off of both sprint and verizon towers" as far as technicalities as to whether or not its an MVNO for both, i'm not sure.
I know this has been stated before, but...
im really having problems doing it.
ringtones. im very particular about my ringtones and am having a really hard time getting the ones that i make on my phone. i tried the emailing it to ur yahoo and opening it up, blah blah blah, wouldnt open because it said it was too large. i also tried texting it to my phone via rumkin.com, also didnt work, i tried syncing it to my phone via the data cable, ALSO didnt work, ...

hmmm....if ur set on either or, id say go with the ocean, but a different phone all together would probably best meet your needs. maybe a cingular 8525? it sounds like ur looking for something more professional, if thats the case, i wouldnt go with the EnV or the Ocean. as far as reception, i would definitely go with helio because they run off both verizon and sprint towers, so you're garaunteed reception. hope that helped, if u have ...

as far as i know, u cant unlock phones that function on the CDMA network. all the phone are helio exclusive and unfortunately, its not possible to use any of these for any other provider.
word of advice though, u might as well switch. helio runs off the verizon AND sprint towers, and if ur bill consists of a lot of data, you would more than likely be saving a lot of money switching over anyway.

u would need an adapter in order to attach headphones on there,and u can personalize ringtones...in reference to whether u should get the 610 instead or not, im not sure. but with the krzr for sprint, it lags a lot (i think its more of a software issue than a network issue)...the phone itself isnt that great...just something to keep in mind :)
software upgrade!!
i recently just upgraded my software on my krzr (for sprint). but i cant seem to notice the changes, other than the light stays on while its on the charger...if anybody knows the differences on there, please share!
Memory Card
for some reason, my phone refuses to read my memory card when it used to at one point...i tried reformatting it and putting the info n songs n things back on, but it still says there is an error and wont read it...im running out of ideas, can anybody help???? please and thank you!

if u have the sprint version of it, ud have to upload ur edited mp3 file to rumkin.com/tools/sprint and have it sent to ur phone...im not sure how it works with the other networks tho...

no need to unlock it if its for tmobile already....i recently bought one off of ebay and just bought a sim card from tmobile for prepaid service n it works just fine :)
