How does being your aunt make any difference... they are still in the same generation, just a couple years younger at the most....

Then they give you the ol' "I don't call myself" response. I have NEVER written myself a letter, but I sure as heck know what my address is.

I feel bad for them that once this iPhone thing launches the fools will come in demanding it for free.

Jun 19, 2007, 5:15 PM

I just had a couple in the store who were racing all over town to find out who has the least expensive Q. They were on the phone asking out corporate store and me in store about the price. Corporate told him they were junk (their tech has stopped trying to fix Motos all together, since they were losing so much inventory on them), and I backed him up. Every Q I have ever sold has come back, and ...

Yeah, but the second person wasn't in the store until I was already on the phone.

Losing Sales
Feb 10, 2007, 11:52 AM
in the Shop Talk forum

There ain't nothing like the feeling of loosing a sale to a prospective customer because a customer had come in just before to see what plan he is on... and the the only way you can figure out that plan is to make a five + minute phone call to customer service. :x I can only say, "I'll be with you in just a second to look over plans and phones" so many times before that person'll leave.

Whenever I run out of stock on a phone, I completely take it's display down and anything in the store that would remind people of that phone. If someone comes in specificcaly for it, I tell them it's on back order and no one in town can get it.

Through previous work experience in a very popular retail store, sometimes the customer just needs to hear it from someone wearing a tie. It used to happened weekly to me there. Same things said, just he was wearing a tie.

Seriously, your posts excruciatingly painful to read.

Re: How does Sprint not have the most coverage????
Feb 2, 2007, 2:12 PM
in the Rumor Mill forum

Did you not read the previous posts? You can get off their "spiderweb" (which they built themselves) network and still use your phone, since they don't charge for roaming anymore. I think these arguements of who has the largest coverage are pointless. Every carrier has roaming agreements with everyone else, and everyone has almost the exact same coverage. You people are a pain.

I have had many Verizon customers who have come to me because Verizon was dropping them since they were in roam for more than half the time.

To put it in a nicer way... Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft loose a lot of money on their systems. I believe I read early last fall that Sony isn't going to see any profit from the PS3s until 2009. Game companies make their money off of video game sales.

With Sprint you have to do it from your account online. Just click the link for the content manager. Have to pay for them, though, $2.00 - $2.50.

As well as Scrubs. There was an episode where Turk was playing Justin Timberlake off of his Katana :paranoid: and missed a call from JD. In the next scene the phone was a different model.

Just because Verizon came up with a fancy new name for roam (extended network) doesn't mean it's any differnt. A rose is a rose by any other name. If you really don't like Sprint, stay out of the forum.

I had a customer come in earlier to pay her bill. We got to talking and she was telling me about how her family was Jewish and what some of their traditions were for naming their children. She was really a nice old lady. Right as she was leaving she turned to me and wished me a "Merry Christmas." /;| I wasn't expecting this, and fumbled out a "thank you."

Sprint's number change is instantaneous. Only on extremely rare occasions is it ever delayed.

"Why" are you going from carrier to carrier trying to start things up? Get to work and try to sell some phones.

That ain't bad, but just to clarify; If I don't use all my minutes in Sept, they expire the next Sept, or does everything start over at the end of your contract year?

All the carriers charge for incoming texts. Sprint does, in fact, have a free incoming call plan.

Not charging for incoming texts would be like not charging for incoming calls...

Yeah, as they work 80 hours a week making $5.15 an hour. Those kids are sure gonna have a bright future with that. At least they'll get a good government provided education ... oh, wait... not they won't :paranoid:

... and then have to pay for childcare. If the mother gets a job, she may not be making enough to pay for the childcare and, oh, let's say food and heat. Staying at home and caring for the child while collecting child support may make it easier to pay for these things.

Re: Consumer Reports
Dec 5, 2006, 4:54 PM

Yet researchers use small samplings all the time. Forgive me for not citing numbers of people surveyed, since the internet is locked here, but exit polls are used to accurately predict political races, a small sampling of people determine television ratings, not all 300 million people are surveyed for the census... Not saying that Consumer Reports is right or wrong, but just don't jump to conclusions and dismiss it outright.

With new activation and being qualified for the $150 in rebates, you get another $100 in store, and a $100 mail-in.

Just got to a store or dealer. Seeing that you're having such a "problem," they can get you through to cancellations... But you're going to be charged the early termination fee.

Sprint, as well, is $59.99/month with a two year subscription. It's $79.99 with one year. No phone service required.
