Re: Anyone work for Verizon?
the bionic and the photon are mirror images of each other. The only thing is the photon is the 'world" phone operating on cdma, gsm and wcdma
Re: Alltel offers no help to replace phone
why don't you buy the phone from ebay?
Re: Any time plan changes-Not quite.
Yes, you can. If you brought the phone outside of alltel, then, you can have any plan on your phone. I brought a 6700 off of ebay and have the $49.99 1000 minute plan on it. Alltel can't make you have one of their ridiculous plans for smartphones when you brought the phone retail or ebay in my case
Re: lol
This is true. Sprint owns 85% of the spectrum. Clearwire needed this deal to go through in order to survive. The way the company is runned, it will not exist much longer.
Re: Look at the speeds clearwire Wimax gives you
Its not wimax, but expedience.
Re: This is AMAZING
even after the merger, cingular barely edges verizon when it comes to total base. let's be real here. plugging the phone as the next great thing does not dismiss the network or specs of the phone.
Re: This is AMAZING
i agree. my plan with alltel is the following: $49.99 for 1000 national minutes with nights and weekends and mobile to mobile and $19.99 for unlimited text and data. with such a high retail price and limited on what it can actually do, cingular should revamp the plans to at least compete
Re: The Answer is PRE-PAID
Wow. Again, you fail to understand the facts on why analog/TDMA is needed. Its not the customer's fault that Cingy nor Suncom/T-mobile were bright enough to bid on rights that were available during auctions in these southeastern states where the 4.7 million reside. You can not blame the customer for trying to keep a plan that fits their needs while carriers try to play stupid on matching them when its not a problem at all to ...
Re: The Answer is PRE-PAID
Wow. If you are pushing Cingy and T-Mobile, then, you would understand the dilemma of the 4.7 million. First, the base of the 4.7 million customers is located in the southeastern part of the country. As a rep, myself, that pushes Suncon/T-Mobile in NC, I can honestly say that GSM sucks here. Analog is needed for Cingy and Suncom/T-Mobile do not have enough towers to accommodate for those that are on the outskirts of the ...
Re: FYI
As an associate for an authorized dealer of Suncom, I see why some of the customers are sticking to analog or TDMA in the great state oc NC. Most of the customers that I converse with live in rural areas where there are no GSM towers to speak off. Thus, US Cellular, Alltel and Verizon rule with their option of analog in these areas. So, Cingy and Suncom must somehow obtain rights to put up more ...
Re: This could actually drive those 4.7 million to another carrier...
Suncon is dropping their TDMA customers by September 30. They do have the option to renew with GSM but most customers have stated that they do not like the letters and phone calls coming from Suncom. Sources from within told me that T-Mobile is getting ready to buy Suncom by the end of September or beginning of October. This would explain the bullying tactics of Suncom, to a degree. Cingy, on the other hand, is ...
Re: Stupid Companies do Stupid things
Suncom is cutting off their TDMA customers by Sept 30. I've already seen some heading toward the RadioShack/Sprint kiosk getting a crappy phone. At least Cingy is trying to hang on to their older customers but going about it the wrong way
