there are a few phones that are water resistant...Since Verizon and USCC use the same technology it may be something like the Boulder... a military spec'd phone that is water resistant. Not saying that will be the phone but am only using it as an example... :)

Re: REBATE SHEET REVEALS SLEW OF PHONES!!
Jul 17, 2009, 2:00 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

I have seen several instances where a phone currently in testing is listed on the rebate sheet because it is part of the new product road map. I have also seen times where a phone does not pass USCC testing and does not make it into the stores...even though it was listed on the rebate. Although the list is impressive, I would not take this as gospel until the phones are in the store!

I heard the newest hardware was to have an iSight camera as well...would make total sense since the Skype app was recently released and AT&T is beefing up the network to anticipate up to a 10x increase in traffic with the new hardware.

Can someone clarify a point - I recently stopped into my local store and was told that all customers that had a text plan or text code on their account when the increase went into effect were grandfathered in at the old rate. The increase was for customers new to the text feature...is this true?

Can anyone say "Mass Exodus wonder how many people will take advantage of this situation and leave for another carrier because of cooler phones, faster data speeds? Personally I have thought about leaving USCC for another carrier...then I get a call from a friend on another network and hear the call quality...need I say more :)

I just went through an ordeal that finally got me a new phone through customer relations. I was sent a replacement for my phone that was having keypad problems and was under warranty. The replacement they sent was damaged and they were supposed to send me a loaner phone via UPS so I can get it repaired. Needless to say the loaner never showed up. After another call to customer relations, they sent a new ...

Overall, the voice coverage is probably the best I have ever had. That being said however, the 15+ minutes on hold for a tech support person and find out that all they can advise is for you to take your battery off, or there is nothing they can do for you is crazy. The SLOW data speeds are another reason I am starting to be totally disenchanted with them. The promises of EDVO have been coming ...

how about instead of spending untold millions on the project of the week, they spend the money to bring us the mysterious EDVO we keep hearing about being tested...or how about some more cutting edge technology or handsets...

When I worked for them a couple of years ago I visited a couple's home after they visited the corp store. they lived in an area we were building in but was a fringe area at the time. I brought a couple different phone models and let them use the phones throughout the house. the people were very impressed we even offered that, and the next day they signed up for three lines, since they knew without a ...

i would say it is an error, cuz the same thing happened to me while on their site. If you visit the store, they will confirm that it requires a data plan.

I sent my phone in for the patch, and now my phone is more jacked up than before I sent it out. Not only will it not send text messages, but it randomly deletes the speed dials, random contacts, and will not load pictures that are stored on the phone or memory card.

All Blackberry and Moto Q devices are required to have a compatible data plan(easyedge does not count) on the user account. The devices can be used as a data only device or can be coupled with a voice plan, but cannot be activated as a voice only device.

Call Center Hold Times
Feb 17, 2008, 6:26 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

Can anyone explain to me what is going on with the call center hold times? It used to be that the hold times were always less than 5 minutes no matter when you called in. Over the past 2 months, hold times when I have called in have been more than 15 minutes. I know, you are thinking why be on hold for that long. I have had issues with my new (less than two ...

Just an update...I sent the phone to repair via a store with a tech per USCC customer service to get the text messaging software flash. Now instead of just having the text messaging issue since the flash did not fix the problem, I now have issues with the phone loading pictures in the gallery on top of the texting issue... :x

there are so many worth while things you could be doing besides playing the USCC police. So many other sites exist provide information about tentative releases and other information. Phonescoop for example shows that a carrier may tentatively carry a phone... just let it go man!

i bought my wife one for Christmas. After 3 days it stopped powering on. We went back to the store and got another one. The second one has the texting issue, but does not randomly delete her numbers. According to USCC there are lots and lots of those phones having issues. Motorola released a fix, but it is not in the hands of the in store techs. The only way to get the fix is to ...

if they really test phones longer to make sure they work, then why do phones still release with issues...case in point the ROKR was released with a text messaging issue that still has not been fixed (i have not been able to determine if it was a specific batch of the entire lot of phones USCC got) :? :? . Motorola has stated to me that is is a USCC issue, and USCC is stating that it ...

as a former USCC associate, you should know that the $200 quoted to you is for a phone that was turned during the first 30 days another customer had it...which means its used. You have no idea what they might or might not have done to it, and the last time I checked, the Motorola 1 year warranty only covered the original purchaser, and would not transfer to you. If you are at a location that has ...

I was a sales manager for almost 2 years in a retail store. I was told I needed to change becasue I have a deep voice, and come across intimidating. that is exactly what i did, i talked with my leader, her leader, and with HR. There was absolutely no support...give it another chance is the tag line at the end of each conversation I had! I have run into that same thing! I was told that I was not capable of leading RWC's with different personalities. Here is the problem I have...NO SUPPORT! not from my peers or my leaders to correct a problem that existed b/c of the previous leader that was in the store. Because of their inability to recognize effective leaders who really do care about the customer and the team, I decided to leave and go to ...

Re: How to add mp3 music
Oct 12, 2006, 9:32 PM

you can purchase the micro-sd card and make your own ringtone with ringtone software like RingTone Ripper. Once you put the ringtone on the sd card, you can assign the mp3 as a ringtone. You can also move full length mp3's by dragging and dropping them into the card and putting the card in the phone, or buy a cable and you can do it that way too. Go to this link and you will be able ...

I have the slider remix and have US Cellular service. According to US Cellular, Mobile Phone Tools is not supported on the phone. I do know that the phones are disabled for dial up networking.
