I ended up ordering the Moto Adventure V750, even though I'm not that hard on them I liked it being built to Mil Spec . Now the bad news, the charging port on my daughters Chocolate is messing up AGAIN (she's on her 3rd one), so she's going to get my new phone & I'm stuck with my 385 for another year (but it's still like new & a good phone). Thanks for all the input folks & I'll be back ...

My new in every 2 in now available & I'm looking for a new phone, & you folks have always been a great help. When looking for a phone my priority list goes like this. 1.)Reception is the biggest thing for me because I drive through some spotty areas on my drive to work & I haven't solid service through this area since the days of the Tri-modes. 2.)Battery life 3.)Durability (I'd prefer a flip phone even though I'm not that hard on ...

When I'm in a fringe area where it searches for a signal allot it'll eat up the battery about twice as fast as any other phone I've owned, but when the signal is good it's better than any phone I've owned. Strange....

It's kinda like putting gas in your car until just it says full or filling it up.... Best battery life of any phone I've owned!

I charge mine once every 10 days, I don't talk much on it but it's on 4-5 hours every day through the week & 8-12 hours on weekends, I probably have around 1 1/2 hour of talk time a week. I do let it get down to one bar before chargeing it & charge it over night.

I ordered mine over the phone & the rebate form came with it..... Same with the 8300 that I got at the same time.

I always let mine charge over night. Beings it was said battery life was a issue I kept tract on it on my first charge. I got mine last Thursday, charged it over night & activated it on Friday. The phone was turned on for approx 44 hours total, I made 1 hour & 34 minutes work of calls, about 10 text messages & all the playing around with it you do every time you get a new phone. On my way home ...

Sorry, had a bad day at work & just plain forgot to try it out in the fringe area during the daylight. Looks like this thread will be dying soon so I'll post results on the 385 forum here when I try it. I know I should be posting this in the reviews, but so far. Likes.... rubberized coating, should hold up well. keys reception (so far) outside display (I like that it don't have to be lit to plainly see it) dislikes.... Small inside screen.

So far so good, I talked right through a area tonight where my old 815 or my daughters chocolate would drop the call 9 out of 10 times.It didn't even break up any that I could tell. :D I'll try again tomorrow during day light hours, for whatever reason sometimes days are worse. :? I'll post my test results tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon/evening. :wink:

I guess I'll find out soon enough, just got my 385 today, so far I like it but that's just having it active for a couple hours & playing around with it a bit. The real test will be on my drive to work later today & see how it works through a fringe area I drive through.

I got tired of waiting on the 5300 promotion to end & went ahead & got the 385 & 8300. By calling them I got a better deal than the web site offered, through the web site they would have cost me $120 plus tax, but they sold them to me for $100 total & sending 2 $50 mail in rebates, so all I'll end up paying is tax.. :D BTW, now that I've ordered I'm sure the 5300 promotion ...

Either I'm blind or they are not offering the 325 anymore on their website. I've been eligible to upgrade 2 phones since May & have been waiting for the 5300 promotion to end.(will it ever???) I don't want two of the same phones laying around so I've been thinking the 385 & the 8300. I'll give them until next week to change promotions & then go ahead, I've waited long enough.

Does anyone who has this phone live near or pass though fridge areas? I gave up my 815 for a Tri-mode because I drive through about a 5-6 mile strip daily where my 815 wouldn't pick up but my 2 Nokia tri-modes would. It wasn't just my phone, my daughters did the same thing. Thanks!

Wrong! Tri-modes get better reception even in digital areas, don't know why but they just do.

Right now it's buy one & get 5300s free. Do they usually change their offerings at the beginning of the month? Do they normaly change brands when they change their specials? Thanks!

Cool, thanks.... I've saw that term used many times but never did know what it meant. I kinda hoped it meant if I unlocked it I'd find out the secrets to the universe or something. :lol:

So I can download music that I already have on my computer.....? Does it come with everything I need to do that or will I have to buy extras? Thanks for the info, getting either a Chocolate or Razor for my daughter for Christmas..... She's wanting the Chocolate in white.

I don't doubt your word, but I could take you 15 minutes from my house & your 815 won't work & a Tri-mode will.... Tried 2 of them. I really liked my 815 except when I was in "that" area, unfortunately for me "that" area is on my way to work so I'm there twice a day 5 days a week.

Check their feedback before buying. Also make you you look on what's included.(charger, battery, ect.) I'm happy with the used Adiovox phone I got off ebay. I had a 815 & you'll probably be happy with it if you don't live around fridge areas.

I've done all sorts of searches but I can't find where anyone says anything good or bad about the FM radio reception. Other than using a phone to be a phone I don't use many of the features on todays phones, but a FM radio, I could/would use that for ballgames and such. So to anyone that has one or has had one, how's the FM reception? Also does using it suck the battery down quickly?

Where is the best place to find good cell phone cases for cheap? I really like the Verizon cases that you can get with a phone but they are way over priced. When you can find them (Verizon cases) on ebay they are about a 3rd the cost, but you can't always find them there.

Thank you! Don't know some folks in this thread treat me like I'm lying. And I did pay attention this past Friday on my way to work & in the troublesome spots the big A poped up for analog.
