what would happen if i buy the sidekick without the data plan? i know i won't have internet and instant messaging, but i will still be able to text message. but will there be any other cons to no getting the data plan (ie. losing personal data)?

Is there a firewall or something to block viruses and trojans off your sk3 when surfing the net? Also, how about pop-ups?
