I agree with the level headedness. But, many customers still get no help even if they stay "reasonable and even tempered"...unless they escalate to a manager or supervisor etc.

In reference to your first story, great that you got your problem solved. But, most customers do not have a "corporate account manager" to escalate to. So, they know they have a problem, the "tech" says they cannot duplicate it...brick wall. (I wonder why they get mad and frustrated  ) In reference to your second story, the CS rep didn't do anything for you (ie: you didn't get the answer you wanted) so you escalated ...

You can hold more but you must decrease the actual size of the mp3s. You can do this by decreasing the bitrate or using a different format (AAC for example). I do all of this with iTunes which is PC or MAC compatible and very easy to use.

Umm, i think almost any multimedia phone will do this. For example I have and A900 on Sprint's network and it will do this. BTW, mp3 is far from radio quality...but I understand what you mean.

Thanks for the input. For now I only have pagers. But, I'll keep the cells for 911 use as soon as I get them. I guess the pagers are going into the circular file.

Re: Celluar / Pager recycling?

I think I'd rather just throw em in the trash. These things will only get me like $1-5 on ebay...the shipping would cost more than the products. Just trying to be enviornmentally friendly. So, no carrier will accept these for recycling? I know one of these is Verizon...Could I return it to them? Would they just turn around and throw it away? If so, I might as well throw them away myself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Books In Ancient Egypt, papyrus (a form of paper made from the stems of the papyrus plant) was already used for writing as from 2400 BC. Papyrus sheets were glued together to form a scroll. This custom gained widespread popularity in the Hellenistic and Roman world, although we have evidence that tree bark (Latin liber, from there also library) was used from earlier times in Italy. But during most of the classical period papyrus was nearly synonymous with writing material ...

Best selling I'll agree to but "longest running book in print" I must disagree with. Yes, the calendar that the majority of the world uses is based upon Anno Domini, the year 0, the year of "our" lord. But, He did not invent the book. The Bible was not the first book. There were books before that are still in print and are still being reprinted. I find it funny that many people think ...

I did the manual reprogram as well and still have an incorrect vCard. The tech told me I can add another number to the card and then when I send it to someone select the correct number. Otherwise I'd have to go into a store for a hard reset and would have to pay $10 for a contacts transfer. Doesn't sound kosher to me. I think the fee should be waived at least.
