question about ui on VZW RAZR2
I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry if it has, but I was wondering if the Verizon RAZR had the VZW standard UI or does it have their UI that you can customize with different themes like some of the LG phones have? Thanks in advance.
Re: Best High-End, Midrange, and Entry-Level Verizon Phones?
Have you checked out the Samsung SCH-U540? It is a great value for the price, and seems to be a great phone. I would at least check it out, to see if it would meet your needs.
Re: New phones in March
Actually Verizon's most expensive Treo is $399.99 with a $100 dollar mail in rebate bringing the price to $299. That is $200 dollars cheaper than the least expensive iphone. This is off Verizon's website. I'm not sure how much it is in the store.
Re: New phones in March
500-600 dollars is too much to pay for a phone, and that is even with the two year contract. How ridiculous. You can buy something similar for much less, the only difference being the "coolness" factor. And It was probably best Verizon did not take the Iphone deal, it sounds like Apple is being quite greedy in its deal, and wants to control every aspect of the deal. The only reason Cingular took the deal was ...
LG 8600 Can be pre ordered starting today
The LG 8600 can be pre-ordered on Alltel's website starting today (Thursday) The phone comes in 3 colors, green, blue, and gold.
Re: I would like to check out their prices but...
Use zip code 59901. The zip code is for Kalispell, Montana. Alltel provides native service here in Montana, and I've used that zip code numerous times.
Re: and sprints
Verizon's is also $59.99 with a voice plan.
Actually Consumer Reports always used to rank Nextel as the lowest carrier out of all the national carriers. Now, they rank SprintNextel the lowest. I also have never seen any magazine or reputable source ever recommend Nextel unless you happen to be one of the few business people who need their Walkie Talkie Service.
Re: THERE IS NO POINT, SPRINT IS BETTER!
I have another reason not to use Sprint. I wouldn't be able to get a local number, and I would have to drive about 800 miles to get to the nearest sprint store. Verizon and Alltel are the only two carriers where I live (Montana). Some people don't even have the option of Sprint, unless they want to be Roaming with an out of state number, wondering if they are going to be kicked off sprints ...
I couldn't find headphones either. I finally went to Verizon Wireless and bought some, since they had some, even though it says Verizon on the side, they work fine.
Re: alltel is a good wireless company....
I have Alltel's National Freedom, and I was charged for roaming in Washington State. I even called before and told them where i would be traveling and they said they didn't think it was roaming where i would be(their coverage maps have no detail at all) They said that since I called prior, they wouldn't charge me roaming even if it was. I got my bill and they did charge me for roaming, and it was ...
Re: USB Connector and Charger
So, you want to buy a charger and leave it at every friend/familys house and their vehicles? What they meant was it would be handy to use somebody Else's charger without buying one for every place you MIGHT need to charge your phone. It's not being cheap. It's convenience.
Re: I miss Catherine Zeta Jones
Catherine Zeta Beta Alpha Delta Omega Jones...Sorry this is how i first learned her name
Re: i'm new to vzw...quick question
No, Verizon doesn't allow unlocked phones.
Future EVDO coverage area
On Verizon's website, if you display the broadband/vcast network, is the pinkish area future broadband/vcast coverage? They have an the key on the left side, and it does say Broadband Access & VCAST (future coverage) but the color is missing. So I'm assuming this is the pink areas on the map. If anybody knows that would be great, as I see my area has the pink color on it, and I would be able to try VCAST ...
Real High Speed
These are some pretty quick speeds. Although carriers keep uping the speeds, I will probably never be able to experience any of this because they don't expand their high speed network into rural areas, they just keep overlaying their current high speed network with the newer quicker technology.
Looks like T-mobile is copying Alltel
Looks like T-mobile is getting a little worried by Alltel's MY CIRCLE campaign. I still think this is a great thing for T-Mobile to do, and Verizon definitely needs to do something like this, they offer the least amount of minutes out of any of the national and regional carriers.
Re: hey dumb butt
I won't be buying this phone. I don't trust LG phones. The last two phones i had were LG and the were both aweful. The first Lg (lx5550) had to be sent into repair because it randomly shut off and wouldn't turn on, waited 4 months for it to come back, got a refurbished one which wouldn't charge, took it back was given a new LG phone of the same type, which also had a charging ...
I've also tried to follow the link without luck, i wanted to know what carriers got what licenses but couldn't access that info. with this link.
Verizon Wirless banner at top of screen
I have the silver razr v3m and my phone doesn't display Verizon Wireless at the top of the screen, like i thought it was supposed to. I'm not saying it's a con, but it looks funny with that shaded bar across the screen where it normally said verizon wireless with nothing in it.
I wish Cingular,or Sprint would increase their native coverage in the west, and start putting up their own towers in montana, that way since i live in Montana that would increase competition, and get some more national providers in here, since all we have now is Verizon who I have and Alltel.
Re: Music player
this phone does have vcast music and a music player included
Well, I care because CDMA is the only technology in my state, Montana in case you are wondering. Verizon Wireless is the only national carrier here, so they definataly blow the gsm carriers cingular and t-mobile out of the water for this state, since not one gsm carrier sells their service here. The only reason you said no one cares about CDMA is because YOU personally don't like CDMA, but I'm thinking alot of people like CDMA ...
