I'm not in denial about my storm. It does lag & sometimes freezes. I did remove the VZNav on it. It does run a bit faster because of it as well. Hopefully the updates come ASAP.

I agree with you, somewhat. Did the Iphone come out without any bugs? In RIM's defense, their first attempt is on par with the Iphone 2G. I have the Storm myself as well. It has its shortcomings, true. But a POS, false. There is ALWAYS a learning curve to a new phone. I highly doubt first adopters of the Iphone picked it up and had no complaints. Now... Been out front of my VZW store patiently waiting for 8am. To my suprise, there's only 2 maybe 3 people out here. Maybe the reviews had a negative ripple effect. Or people are smarter than me & ordered online.

I downloaded 4.5 from the BB site. Pretty nice, the browser is much improved. Like the ESPN page renders totally different now, better. Music player has a mild facelift. I haven't noticed much else though.

The VZW data tech told me to try BB's website for the update. He said if BB puts it out, it was ok for me to use it. But after a few attempts to load it, it said I had the latest version. I've got 4.3. VZW's sites latest is 4.3 too. What am I doing wrong? Need some help here fellas...

I received a call yesterday regarding the storm event. Yes indeed, it is real. Amnesia@Motor City Casino confirmed a VZW Event on 11/6 5-7. Can't wait. Now my only question would be... Would VZW hold these events even IF the phone was already launched? Does anyone think they picked these markets because they are weak, compared to the west/east coast markets? In any case, I'll be getting one regardless.

By all the info I received from the casino, the club is being reserved for the time frame of the preview party. Although they could not tell me what company it's reserved for ,the time frame tells me it's the storm event.

Your logic is flawed. Why would VZW hold "PREVIEW" events from 10/28-11/20 if it is coming out earlier? Keyword is "PREVIEW".

Did anyone else see the sign-up for the touch & feel preview for the Storm? It ranges from 10/28 to 11/20. I just signed up through the links on blackberrynews.com So I would bank on an 11/24 release. So if there's anyone in the Detroit area, I'll see you at Motor City Casino, Amnesia "Makin' it Rain like Pac-man Jones..." Just kiddin' :D Hope this helps nail down the most realistic date.

My first curve was great up until last week. It rebooted itself say... 3 to 4 times a day. CS sent me a new one. the one they sent, the ESN wasn't logged into VZW data base. That's #2. the 3rd one they sent, the browser didn't work properly. finding this out after 1 1/2hrs with tech support. So I will receive another FRU on tuesday. How many FRU's do they send me until I get a "NEW" one? ...

HOLY SH#T!!! this case makes it the size of 4 cd cases. I baby my phones. I though it would be like that 2 piece case mate... Boy was I wrong. I do see the purpose for it though, not exactly for a hospital setting. I should've asked someone here before hand, like Chris said :oops: It's going back with a Moto H12.
