UMA?
Nov 19, 2009, 12:35 PM
in the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 forum

Does the Storm 2 have UMA enabled? I currently use the BB 8900 on TMobile and a normal Verizon Motorola phone. With BB on TMobile I use UMA for WIFI calling, and I find it is essential for me when I travel outside the USA because those calls just count as minutes.

The solution is very simple. Turn off the blackberry. Remove the battery. Install the 8mb card. Install the battery. Turn on the blackberry. Presto.

Re: Is there a way to silence the "turn on" and "turn off" music?

This is another good example of where Verizon does not get it, let alone get is now. If you use this phone for business, you do not want a sound when it goes on or off AND you want it to vibrate strongly first and then ring if you do not notice the vibrate. Dear Verizon, you obviously know your are in competition because you keep trying to get two and three year contracts. How about giving us ...

And, in case you are thinking I am nuts, I have gotten this far - the computer sees my V3M as a music player. This is helpful, but does not yet solve things. Motorola has a fix-it patch you must use. http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php? p=735352

Sync - Music - WM10 - Total Failure

If someone has been able to connect their V3M using Verizon software, please tell us how you did it. I have not seen anyone tell me they have successfully used this phone to get music off of their computer using a USB. I am beginning to think it is time to ask Verizon for compensation.

Re: battery life with bluetooth turn on all day long?

The phone just makes a day of heavy use on a charge for me. That is 7am to 10pm. It dies at 6pm with bluetooth.

I found bluetooth is a significant drain. I am burning in a new $20 1000mAh battery to help. Still, you have reason to be concerned.

I am not qualified to compare to the Q. As far as streaming goes, EVDO and EDGE do not work that well in my humble opinion with video, but I have no idea with music. Might work, as music does not need as wide a pipe.

Because Verizon has the best network, and it is not the phone its the network?

My View After 12 Days

in the Motorola RAZR V3m forum

I am going to keep the phone because I like the size, but I am not happy for a few reasons. 1. The battery life is not adequate. If Verizon seriously wants you to use this for music and video then they need to fix this issue. Music and video kill the battery and, after all, you need that battery to make phone calls. I just got my 1000 mAh non-Motorola battery. I hope this fixes ...

Getting a price credit?
Jun 14, 2006, 11:20 PM
in the Motorola RAZR V3m forum

I bought the phone for $149.00 less a $50 mail in rebate. It is now $69.00, just a week later. Will Verizon give me a credit? If I return the phone, can I then buy it again at the lower price?

V3M Music via USB
Jun 14, 2006, 11:19 PM
in the Motorola RAZR V3m forum

I am not alone in finding it impossible to get the V3M to hook up via Windows Media Player 10.0. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/verizon-wir eless-users/54510-razr-v3m-3.html has an entire group who have problems, with just one person getting it to work. I am pretty computer sophisticated, so if I cannot do it there is definately a problem with Music Essetials deeper than poor instructions. Anyone have a clue as to how to get WMP to recognize the V3M. Anyone have a clue why ...

I am not having your problem. I have the standard battery, 780mAh. It lasts an entire 15 hour day of constant use. Make sure you do not have Bluetooth on. Do not use VCast much. If you still have a problem, then it is the particular phone you have. I should add, I ordered a 1000mAh battery in the after market for $20.00.

The frequency response range is noticably wider. You hear the full voice of the speaker. It does not sound like they are in a phone booth. I too was impressed with the E815 and V3C - thought the E815 had the characteristics of a voice I knew closer to reality. This is even better.

Whatever digital music you have, if it can be played on a MicroSoft Player 10.0 can be moved to the phone. The software and cable comes bundled with a stereo headset for $29.95 by Verizon. You will also want a microSD card.

Try your post in the V3C Forum. This phone only just was released. (V3M) I do note, this one is listed by Verizon as having an extended battery.

With a two-year plan the cost is $149 after $50 mail in rebate. If you are a long-time customer, you may be able to get an additional $50 off and a $25 accessory credit. I did. Total cost $99 after rebate and $5 (after the $25 off) for the VMusic accessory pack with is basically the cable you need to get music off of your computer and onto the phone. No shipping charged for two-day ...

As you can see, it is EXACTLY what I told you - $50 more. It will continue to be until the V3C is sold out.

The phone will be $50 more than the V3C - which is being discontinued by Verizon. $149 with a two-year contract. $199 with a one-year contract.

This is the comparison between the V3M and V3C. http://testman.verizonwireless.com/b2 c/store/controller The V3M has a slightly larger batter 780 v. 730mAH and talk time is supposedly 200 v. 180 minutes. V3M will do V Cast Music and has the well-known by now removeable memory. Price will be $50 more. http://testman.verizonwireless.com/b 2c/store/controller
