what do you mean by "Bluetooth headsets just don't seem to compare to wired headsets in many applications"?

i get at least 2 full days without a charge under moderate use without bluethooth on. It amazes me that such a small phone can go that long frankly

It's funny, but since I traded in my 8300 for the new RAZR v3m, my reception has been INFINITELY better than I ever had with the 8300. Same location - totally different RF. Maybe I got a bad 8300, but my LG 4400 had the same RF and volume problems. I really didn't care one way or the other which phone I ended up with, I was just looking for the best voice quality PERIOD and, after 4 days, I've ...

no built-in 2.5mm head phone jack. You'd have to buy an adapter

I'd have to disagree. I've owned both and the E815 is the clear winner in the clarity dept. However, if you're seeking call clarity, you owe it to yourself to check out the new v3m

you're right. VZW said just call customer service when I get the phone and they will be happy to give me the credit. VZW gets blasted a lot in these forums, but I must compliment them on that customer service policy.

Oh, that's wonderful. I just ordered a V3m from VZW late yesterday afternoon under the NE2 program at the $199 price. Cost me a net $50. Today, I could get it for free. :x Do you think I could get a credit or refund for my $50??....or should I return/exchange it when it arrives?

I noticed in windows media player 10 that the majority of my songs are stored in the WMA format. Does that mean I can be move them directly to the phone's microSD card?

If I convert all my music to a wma format, will I still be able to play my mp3's in WMP10? Is there a place that offers answers to FAQ's about this conversion stuff? (I'm using Win XP on my laptop)

Boy, that is welcome news! I've been conducting extensive research on a wide variety of phones in pursuit of one had the audio characteristics of a land line. I also felt that the E815 (and the V325) were closest.

I've been impressed with the audio quality of the E815 and the V3C. I was wondering if you would elaborate about your comments below from your review: "Phone: Voice quality is high. People hear you clearly. You hear people clearly. It is better than the E815 and the V3C" Why is the v3m "better"?

yeah, pls check it out DoubleHelix. I'd like to know your opinion. No, I'm not saying the 325 RAZR is better, but PERHAPS more "natural" or a bit softer than the RZAR. Although, today I listened very closely to a voice message that came in to my cellphone from a landline, and it actually had a bit of digital harshness to it (I think actually due to the 8300 earpiece) closely resembling a RAZR in audio quality. I intend to do ...

has the V325 been discontinued? I noticed Moto did not have it listed on this corporate webpage: http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/phon eselect.asp?country=USA&language=ENS&producti d=30455&web_page_name=OTHERPHONE If so, is there a newer version is due out soon? ...and the address of this page containning the V325 has the word "retired" in it: http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/web_Acces sories_Home_Retired.asp?country=USA&language= ENS&productid=30317

thought so. I have recorded roughly 15-20 diff v.m.'s from diff locations and diff phones. The most natural and clearest recordings are coming from Moto IMO. The V325 may have the edge, tied for second is the e815 and the razr. the razr "projects" loudly and cleary, but also has a bit of digital harshness (you know what i mean)....unfortunately, people seem to have a lot of reliability issues with the e815. That leaves me with the V325 for best ...

Re: Dude, just get another 8300! - Nope !

I also view the earpiece design as flawed. To hear best, you have to slide the opening down toward your chin slightly which allows outside noise to get in creating a bit of a problem hearing. The 8300 is not the only phone with this issue IMO

I really like this phone ALOT too. HOWEVER, LG has always had reception issues. I am on a lonG road trip as I write this and I was experiencing the roller coaster effect that I had with my 4400. My testing indicates 3 of the Moto models are offering better reception and call quality. Speakerphone on the Motos was incredible

I have been doing some EXTENSIVE, PERSONAL phone testing the past few days and I believe I'm getting to the root of this audio qual thing. Unfortunately, I have to go out of town for the rest of this week and don't have time to report my findings right now, but will do so when I can. My problem is probably that I have an audiophile background and a very well-trained, discriminating ear. the 8300 is a very nice phone, just ...

couldn't agree more excellent phone, other than audio quality

Re: SIGNAL STRENGTH?!?!?

that's what I'm seeking - a clear bright screen and clear reception. Tough to find it appears as phones have become very complex with all the bells and whistles. I assumed that audio quality had also improved since my 4400. Guess I was wrong. I'm going to look at the Moto 325 and v3m. Seems the razr has the best audio quality but risky build quality.

I'm told the v3m comes with an adapter for a 2.5mm wired headset jack

Re: SIGNAL STRENGTH?!?!?

Voice quality is paramount for my business so I've been doing extensive testing the past few days. I too have noticed that I sound a little muffled. Sometimes I'm even garbled I'm told. I also hear everyone as clear as a bell AS LONG AS I AM NOT IN A CROWDED OR NOISY AREA. Make sure you test it out somewhere like that. I'd guess you'll have a similar experience to myself and theatremax.
