Nokia and Cricket have been in talks for a while. About a week and a half ago they scrapped the whole project, but don't panic, they brought back the plan, the 6165 will be launching shortly, and the 6265(slider) will be launching just after. They are also launching a replacement for the Kyocera Dorado.

They have an expected launch date, sometime towards the end of august/september. I can't wait for this phone!
Re: a few things i want to know
1.) If you phone is web ready. Xcursion, Candid, Slider and Razr, you can click on the browser in the menu on the phone, and then pick the headline of your choice and it will subscribe the internet service onto your account for $5.00/month. If you have any of these phones and you cannot access the web, take your phone to your nearest full service center, and they can flash the phone to make it internet ready.

You may be able to activate this phone for cricket service. Many stores, at least the ones in the Colorado Springs area, do not flash the phones for CricKet service from other carriers. You can try and find someone who can "unlock" or flash phones for Cricket service. Keep in mind that Cricket does not guarantee that all services may not work on a non-cricket phone. But you can definately try to get that set ...

They removed the green couch from the marketing campaigns. You won't see it in commercials, and you will not see it in the stores. A lot of people have been frustrated by this.

I have noticed on the phone that if you set up a ringer ID for someone in your contact list that same ring tone will alert you to a text message that was sent by that contact. Is there anyway to default the message alert back to a simple beep or chime instead of having the ringtone go off for every message? It gets old hearing the ringtone for every correspondence that I receive from a contact.

I have the V3c, and love it. It has a nice camera at 1.3 megapixels, and the sounds for the real tones is amazing. It would have been nice to have an expandable memory slot, but it has 30mb of onboard memory, and that is more than sufficient. I use bluetooth with mine, and the recognition on the phone is awesome, you don't even have to Train the phone to recognize contacts, digits, or anything else. ...

I recommend any of the top three phones to our customers, (Xcursion, Slider, and Razr) I personally own the Xcursion and have not had any problems with it at all. If you are big on the real tone ring tones, I would recommend the Slider or the Razr, they have great speakers. As far as functionality goes, The Xcursion is a great phone.
