Frozen Screen after calls?
Jan 15, 2009, 11:15 PM
in the Apple iPhone 3G forum

I am at a loss. I have had a Iphone 3g for a while now. I have traded it in for a replacement now three times. What seems to happen is whenever I get a call (although not EVERY time, just a decent amount) after the call is over I go to hang up and the screen is black and will not come back. Despite my best efforts it takes powering the unit down and back on to get ...

Phone Replacement?
Mar 23, 2008, 5:13 PM
in the Helio forum

I currently have the Drift, and I have insurance. My phone is not working very well and I suspect it will call it quits here soon. I have had it long enough but see that the Drift is no longer a phone they carry. If I have to use the insurance on the phone how will that be handled. Is there a specific replacement phone I will be issued, and I given the amount the phone was worth toward ...

Re: No charm or strap hole for drift!!??
Sep 27, 2007, 7:05 PM
in the Samsung Drift forum

You could use something that you can put the Drift into that has a cord on it. They make a sock like...thing that serves that purpose. Or I guess use something (read: duct tape) to affix your charm/strap to it... Why is the presence or lack there of of a charm...loop... a required feature on a phone I wonder however. I can see it being neat but not a make or brake feature. Then again, thats just me.

This person is correct. CDMA cannot be unlocked. And besides the fact. Even if possible its running Helio firmware not verizons ugly red one (jk) It would be of no use to you at all anyways.

Is he not referring to the enV (aka:VX-9900) by verizon? In this case it is out and has been for much longer then the ocean has been.

it looks like its just the VX8600 by LG. I can't stand how much those two companies phones look alike. From a few feet its hard to tell which of the "cool phones" a person is using, but who cares anyways because they are all the same. What happened to original design?

Re: Verizon UI?
Dec 1, 2006, 2:25 PM
in the Verizon forum

UI means User Interface. A User interface is essentially the software on the phone that allows you to interact with the phone (think windows on a computer, windows allows you to interact with the computer. Windows is also a GUI or a Graphical User Interface.) The complaint that is often posted is because verizon is the only carrier that has their own user interface that is standard across all their phones. No other cell phone company (well, I say that not ...

Re: Rollover

I use my rollover on the occasion. On average I don't use all of the minutes on my plan but every few months something comes up that makes me use my phone more then I usually do. Rollover is kinda the overdraft protection on my cell phone plan if that helps you visualize its purpose. It keeps me from incurring a 300 dollar bill every few months because something happened that kept me on the phone. It is not a ...

hehe, if this is their "answer" to the Q does that mean I will have to start DEVO'ing these out in mass quantity in a few months as well >.< My store finally got rid of the Q and now all I have to ship out in mass numbers are the IPODs :( sadness in my heart if Sammy thinks they have to respond at all :(

If that were for some reason the truth you have no business discussing it on a web forum that you are being stationed (stationed? seeing as how we have no bases there) in North Korea. If this is the truth you have no place to be discussing your orders here

is the piece on the dummy the same material as the real deal? For some reason I suspect the dummy has a plastic window. altho its not uncommon that it would have the same (glass?) window. If that is the case I can get a dummy phone for free I believe. Hmmm, I don't think I had thought about that. I will have to see. Anyone else have any ideas by chance? Thanks again tho, that is a wicked good idea ...

I bought it from Best Buy in a cingy branded box which I can only imagine is the box they will send you and yes, it has a home charger. I have never seen a cell phone NOT come with a method of charging >.

I can do the repairs myself oddly, I just have the hardest time finding parts for that particular phone. It isn't my phone and I haven't been able to tinker with it but it looks like I can get access to it. I am just wondering if there is anyone who knows where I can find parts for that particular model. And some place quoted 130 dollars to replace a LED!? thats crazy.

Hey guys, is it possible to replace the glass protector on the front of the Pantech C300. I have one that has a scratch right through the middle and it isn't that its a big deal but if it was possible I would like to replace the piece. If anyone knows is it possible firstly, and second, where would I get the piece? Thanks in advance.

Of course you see a lot of problems with the returns of the most popular phone (which, don't let what I say make you think that I like the razr by any stretch of the imagination) The more units you have the more defective ones there are bound to be. It is the nature of being. More people the more illnesses, and so on. My qualm with the RAZR is that while 2 years ago it was a nice ...

Thats what I pretty much assume. But not being a tmo customer I didn't know the loops fully. I am inquiring for a friend of mine who really really wants the pearl now but isn't out of his contract until mid december I believe. I think it may have been resolved however, I do appreciate your input.

In addition, If I am using an unlocked phone on tmos network will I be able to use all of the features of the phone. I know on cingular you often have to update the phone so that it works with SMS and the mobile web. Is that the same on tmo? if so is it possible to use all the features on an unlocked phone that you would use on a branded one?

Re: what division of cingular is selling this phone?
Sep 17, 2006, 1:21 AM
in the Sony Ericsson W300 / Z530 forum

Cause I am an ex-cell sales person and current inventory person and we got a box of them in. I was curious when they hit shelves (because our corp. cingular store doesn't have them) and I looked up the street date and its 9/17 :D my store wont have them out because we dont have space yet, which is fine. I think I am buying one in the morning anyhow.

Once the contract time is over (assuming you dont want to pay the ETF) then you have the number ported onto a new account and have that line deactivated. Pretty simple, might take a few minutes but basically simple.

Honestly, I know it sucks for your friend but you should make them buy you a new one. Aside from the fact it will probably not work like it should (sounds like it isn't anyhow) you have a year of contract where you need a working phone. If something goes wrong with that one you will be told youre SOL because of the water damage. It will cause you endless frustration. I know its not the nicest solution but ...
