It only does about 10% of the phones out there for ringtones, pics, etc. Experiment with a RAZR to a RAZR or something like that. It'll give options to check for pics, tones, contacts, etc.

Am I making the right choice??

I've been working as an indirect agent for Verizon Wireless for a few years. I've got an interview tomorrow with direct. Am I making the right choice?

I just wanna say, no hard feelings man. This site gets a little tense sometimes, and I'm just trying to have some fun. That was my intention when I started this thread.

True. But judging by your gravatar, you're too ashamed to put up an actual picture. I'm imagining a gap-toothed troll that lives in his mother's basement playing 'Magic The Gathering' with a cardboard cut-out of Legolas as your opponent. I imagine you couldn't get a piece of ass if you drove through Compton with an Escalade pimped out with spinners. I know you wipe your ass with sand paper to ease the pain of your ...

So am I. I'm actually a retired sumo wrestler. I'm really fat and I'm also a parapalegic.

No thanks. I'd rather raw-dog a hooker in Harlem than "see yours".

Unfortunately, I can't post one right away. The internet here is locked down so tight, I can't even change my ***atar, I mean gravatar.

Thank you. An obvious mistake to start the ripping. Let the bashing begin. Make me beg for mercy!!!

This may be more appropriate for shop-talk, but it'll get more attention here I think. This forum topic is for anyone who wants to rip on a fellow phone-scooper. I'm seeing a bit more of this than usual. I find it quite funny the way some people converse like this is there auntie's tea party and we can gossip about our neighbors/co-workers, etc. I find most of these scenarios quite funny. I laugh even ...

SCH-a990. It's on our rebate forms even though it's not available yet. I have a 970 currently, and I'm hoping that it's more just in it's pricing than the 970. Nice, but not worth the $$$.

Verizon's Audiovox XV6700 has the proper profiles supposedly, but I have yet to see/hear it in action.

I think a good response is, "Funny, I just called that number and they charged me $2.99 a minute for a 'really good time'. I thought your voice sounded familiar." :o

howardforums.com. Check it out. Great guides for unlocking Verizon's crippled RAZR's.

I agree, foolish option for a customer. However, where this really comes in to play is for pranks and humor. Example, when my manager went to go smoke a cigarette, I took her phone, and made my own little voice recording, made it her ringtone, and did so without her knowing. It sounded something like "I make love to pitbulls every Saturday". Good stuff.

Unfortunately Mike, no matter what you do to rename that file, VZW's phone crippling ways require you to find alternate methods. The phone simply won't allow the file to be assigned as a ringtone if it's on your Tflash. They want you to buy the ring tone at Get it Now. (My own nicknames include pay me now, get lost, get bent, and get it later). If you really want to beat the system, check out ...

Re: Cingular iTunes Vs. VZW's V-Cast Music
Jun 11, 2006, 2:12 PM
in the Techs & Trends forum

I work for Verizon and I think that VCAST music is set up terribly. I don't sell the program with any kind of integrity. Minimum $50 for VCAST music capable phone. Another $50 if for the Music Essentials Kit (software, USB cable, etc.)$40-$50 for a decent Transflash or Mini SD card, and $15/month for the ability to pay $1-$2 per song. No thanks. If a customer walks in inquiring about VCAST music, my first ...

I'm just trying to get a better feel for the industry. I'm currently an assistant manager at an indirect location in Rhode Island and I think I might be relocating soon. I'm just trying to get some people's opinions that have worked for both branches. What's your preference?

Be careful not to let customers walk just for mentioning NE2. Alot of times, they're not clear on it. I process about 90% of transactions when a customer mentions NE2. For example, they mention something about a $100 credit. "Sure no problem". I simply explain that mail in rebates are part of that credit. There's plenty of phones that I can drop down fifty dollars, and still make a good profit. If ...

Me: I'm sorry to hear that you bill is over $700 sir, but it appears that you used over 2000 minutes on a 300 minute price plan, and you dialed 411 a total of 648 times over the course of the month. Customer: I expect all charges to be waived! I've been a faithful customer for 6 months and this is how I'm treated! Me: Sir, I won't be able to help you with this bill. All ...
