Thank you soooooo much!!! Yes, i just deleted the db folder that was residing inside the MEDIA folder that was on the phone and then copied over my mp3, and now the phone recognizes it! Thank you thank you!!

Correction. This phone can use MP4 as a ringtone which is the same thing as AAC. Sounds waaay better than QCP. We use www.freeringers.net to upload the files we create into AAC, costs $7.99 for a lifetime membership and no "per use" charges. Hope this helps!

Oopps...we figured out how to convert to AAC. On the freeringers.net site there is a free download available that converts MP3 to to WAVE and then to AAC. The sound is VERY clear and the file was very small. I would recommend paying the $8 - well worth the money...

Best thing we have found so far is a website that allows you to send the ringers to the phone. The cheapest one we have found so far is www.freeringers.net, a misnomer as the website is not free, it is $7.99 for a lifetime membership. Still this was definetly the cheapest thing we found on the net. There is no "per ringtone" cost (woot) so 8 bucks to send unlimited seemed fine to us. However, ...

So far all we have been able to do is convert the .mp3 over to a QCP file which can then be uploaded as a ringer, but we are not happy at all with the very degraded quality sound of the ringer when it is converted to QCP. Anyone who can figure out how to do .mp3 ringers, please post any ideas.
