i was actually waiting for a major carrier to pick this up. i love the simplicity of this phone. of couse this is really a cingular GoPhone but u could pop in ur regular postpaid cingular card too... hmmmmm.

i need to get a cellphone for somebody 60+ that is really simple to use and has the ability to display extremley large fonts. any suggestions? grampa needs a cellphone as his buisness line. he doesnt want anything with "high-tech gizmos" like a camera or qwerty keyboard. i wouldnt be suprised if he didnt want even a contact book.

is VZW's UI have the ability to change the theme of the phone (like the menu bars can change colors?) like motorola's UI for the GSM V3?

colors
i thought that this phone would come in colors(blue, maroon, purple). thats what was on moto's site before it was actually released. but knowing verizon, the prettiest color they could come up with (more like copy) was the washed out pink. god forbid verizon would ever think of offering color and style in a cell phone!

why would anybody else bother copying the RAZR? the RAZR is so common, they should spend more time finding a successor to the razr instead of trying to copy it.

well, the except for the ROKR and SLVR the rest of motorola's phones suck it hard. the razr is getting way too boring(everybody and their dog has it, yet it continues to be the big cheese).

SIM Card Slot?
I found a sim card slot on my shorty! It is a CDMA phone but it had a SIM card compartment underneath the battery. I thought only GSM phones utilized SIM cards.
crappy phones
why does it seem that verizon picks the most ugly phones? i am sure it does wonders for their business :roll: . why don't they switch to GSM anyways, thats what all the best-seller phones use. CDMA may be reliable, but it seems like a waste for such a good company to have the crappiest phone selection.
PEBL with cingular
did i hear that cingular considered adding the PEBL to their phone lineup? if not, has anyone here put a cingular SIM card in a PEBL?
