Thank you Epic! I knew there was more to this than what I understood. I feel armed with knowledge and even more pissed about this practice. I don't think some of these sales guys need to be pushing that ( ok mention it once) but this particular guy acted like I'm giving you a gift moron! Can't you see my logic? And in this case I don't have a old flip so I would of got screwed!

I could actually use a third line just mildly pissed about how they go about it, at the time I told him it increase my monthly bill ( bottom line) and I rather just pay full retail and keep my plan the same... but he insisted this was the best way to go. I would like to know the real cost of the add a line.

I was going to pay full retail and get the iphone for 650,the rep said just add a line for 10 bucks, and it will only cost me 240 over the life of the contract! He insisted on giving me a math lesson, even after I told him no. Is it not 10 dollars plus taxes costing me upward of 20 a month? Closer to 480? What is the real cost of adding a third line on a family ...

I understand if you don't have a data plan that you will be charge per mb to download a game to your dumb phone, but are there MB charges to play the game??? Once I've paid the charges to download the game/ and cost of game am I free to play without other data charges?

it will mean big changes for a lot of ppl who are not willing to pay extra for features they will never use, but who are also completely uninterested in VZW's low-end (I don't blame them.) People can defend VZW to the death with this absolutely ludicrous plan change, but there is no good that can come from it on the consumer end. Period.

"Enhanced" feature phones are really not much different from non-enhanced feature phones, with the exception of the full HTML browser Rev. A data. The fact that these features exist in most of VZW's most popular dumbphones is not the fault of the consumers, and thus they should not be forced to pay for them. In the case of a smartphone, it makes much more sense that one would be required to purchase a data plan as many of the ...

$19.99 for 75mb on a dumbphone with a full html browser is terrible! Even if you ONLY browse the web and don't stream anything. It's a rip off. See they WANT to FORCE you to upgrade plans. That way you get the unlimited data. I remember a phrase I heard a while back about VZW. Their old slogan "We Never Stop Working For You".
It said "We Never Stop Ripping You Off". I agree now.
