Twist immediately activates the camera/camcorder. you have no access to face buttons with the screen swivelled, so it'd be pointless anyway. Watch for my review of my A990 in a second..

..That's what my A990 is displaying right now on the main screen. Please help..unsure as what to do. cant' seem to call that *228 number yet..could use your help asap someone!

... I was with Cing and started with the SE 710A..it was a nice phone, but the unique rotate open form was annoying. I loved it, loved how it looked while I had it, but damaged it. Replaced with the W600i, Which in itself had the WSOD problem twice.. I like the comparisions between the s710a, but ultimately form factor wins out, I feel.

Ordered my A990 yesterday; as soon as I aquire it, activate my new Verizon plan and get a microSD, i'll post a comprehensive review. Please be on the lookout for it in a few days! ( switching from the w600i and Cingular)

Thanks for the kudos and good words, friends! :oops: That was pretty nice of you all..Yeah, I ha my reasons for switching..I won't get into huge details, but for the past two months, Cing decided to rape my wallet an additional $120/mo for a total monthly bill of $210..twice! It was absolutely a snafu on thier end, but still..best way to avoid it is to cancel them altogether. There's other reasons..the Verizon offerings seem to be flagship in the ...

:twisted: I can't wait..I'm cancelling Cingular and aquiring Verizon...the SCH-A990 will be my first Verizon phone, (girlfriend has the 8100.) I was considering the 8300, but there's too much about this phone I'd rather have! Ordered it today...i'll post a review asap! :twisted:

I hope that the ROKR E2 comes to Cingular! I have a W600i I love, but i'm on the third unit due to the White Screen Of Death and I think it might me time to try something else. In a search, the ROKR E2 seems to fit everything I want and need..I'm a pocket tech geek, and I love everything this phone seems to offer...definetely the 9 HOUR battery life! That should take the risk out of texting ...

I've loved my W600i EXCEPT for one aspect; after turning the thing off, it won't turn back on. At all! All I get is this white screen of death..the little red light under the power button dosen't even light, and niether does the keypad. It's 100% charged; I know that for certain. I'd left it charged yesterday, came back, unplugged, checked messages on it it and turned it off. I went to bed thinking it was fine..and now, white screen o' ...
