Verizon Femtocell

Any insiders have any projections as when Verizon may have their femtocell product available? It is rumored to be very similar to the Sprint Airrave. I will switch to Verizon as soon as this product is available as I am currently not under contract with my provider.

Any sales on the horizon?

I am thinking of switching over to Sprint very soon. Could be tomorrow or I could wait 3 months. I will not make the jump until I can get my best deal. Anyone know if Sprint will be offering any specials in the coming weeks and months for new customers? Specifically I was hoping for a waived activation fee or free Airave unit or both. The Curve is currently less expensive with some other ...

Hi all! I am a newbie. A neophyte. An old man. I do not know much about the latest technology, but I do know enough to ask those who understand such things...such the motivation for my post. I am considering switching to Sprint and purchasing a Blackberry Curve. Currently I use a mobile phone and while on the phone I take notes (phone orders and such for my business) using a Palm Pilot. I ...

Kudos

Kudos to Metro PCS in terms of customer service. I recently (40 days ago) purchased a Kyocera Strobe. Love the phone, but for the past 3 weeks it would intermitently allow the callers to hear me, yet I could not hear them. The frequency of this occurance has increased each day. Because I use my Metro PCS phone for business this is obviously a HUGE problem for me. I first called Kyocera tech support, assuming the ...

Re: How about this poll

Metro PCS is a REAL carrier. In fact it can be argued they are THE MOST REAL carrier of them all. One monthly rate...talk all you want. No silly contracts. They are not owned by a phone company with land lines that are afraid to canibalize their home telephone service business by offering great rates. The "Big Guys" are cowards working in cohoots and trying to prop up a dying industry. Metro is a ...

jeans94621... Hi! Where (what city) do you use this phone (Strobe) with Metro PCS? How is clarity of calls? Have you been able to connect to your PC to download photos? What about ringtones? I have heard the pre-loaded ones are lame. Have you been able to download your own? If so, what cables/software did you need to purchase to accomplish this? I am trying to choose between this phone and the 6265. Leaning ...

As I understand it, the return policy is only for NEW customers. Returning customers do not get the same courtesy. Strange way for a company to show appreciation for customer loyalty, but it seems the cell phone industry is littered with many such bizarre practices.

Strobe questions

Is it possible to download ringtones .midi files etc for the strobe? If so, what software/cables/hardware is needed? I am a newbie and need some hand holding here. How difficult/easy is the process? Also, can ringtones be assigned to individual callers? TIA for any assistance you can provide.

Calendar and data functions

in the Kyocera Strobe K612 / SwitchBack forum

Can any Strobe user comment on the sophistication of the calendar on the phone? Does it have alarms for events? What about a notes or memo section??? Does anything like this exist? With the qwerty keyboard I would think it may have some organizer functions built-in. Any comments? Thanks!

Can anyone address the call quality and clarity of the strobe? How does it compare to other phones you have used? Thanks!

Any new Motos on the horizon

Nearly time for a new phone. Am wondering if the Moto 323i or Moto W315 are in testing or possible releases anytime soon??? Was anxiously awaiting the 815, but it got pulled off the map. The new Nokia is $$$ and has some bugs that I'd rather not mess with. The Kyocera Strobe is interesting, but I'd rather wait if any new Motos may be introduced in the coming months. Anyone have any insights ...

Re: Motorola e815 at MetroPCS? -- Test phone has arrived

Thank you for the update. Approximately how long does the testing period last? Assuming the testing is successful, what is an estimate as to when this phone may be available? I have been waiting since January. My current phone is dropping calls, the numbers are sticking and I need a new phone. The e815 is the phone I want but I am not sure how much longer I can nurse mine along. Thanks for any additional ...

Any update about the E815? Am very anxious to see if Metro PCS will offer this phone. It would be a great addition to their otherwise tepid lineup of handsets. I would purchase immediately. Keeping fingers crossed!!
