I just walked into a Verizon Wireless store and asked, the rep looked it up and said May 31st on website, June 5th in stores.

This is quite a stretch... are you sure your friend is a VP at Verizon? He might be the one pulling a fast one on you.

I'm hating the wait as much as anybody else out there but lets face it, if the Q turns out to be good we'll all be clamoring to buy it before it runs out of stock.

I'm currently a Blackberry user but want to switch over the Mobile 5. I've been waiting around for the Motorola Q for months but I'm getting tired of waiting... How's the 6700 w/ Verizon? I hear that its a good PDA but a not so good phone... I currently have about 300 contacts in my phone, the Blackberry does a great job of helping me pull up phone numbers quickly - I just have to type the first couple ...

Your fears are definitely confirmed - no touchscreen available on the Moto Q. Consider the Verizon Wireless XV6700 if you need a touchscreen.

The Motorola Q does not have a touch screen, so the answer to your question is no, it is not the same as the Treo.

Eric, any idea which of the two will be available first? The P990 or the Q? Is early April still the expected date for the Q's release?
