Its been almost 3 months now. I'm in love with the phone and I can't do without it. LoL. Through a mélange of 3rd party apps and plenty of trial + error, my phone has been reigned in and glitch free. :)

Sounds like you want a PDA phone. I use the Wing/HTC Herald and I can do everything you want, even send mass texts (very tediously mind you), plus it will cost you. $500 out of 2 year contract or around $300 with a 2 year commitment. I'm a geeked out person, but if your not very tech savvy and/or patient/understanding, I don't recommend this phone. Hope this helps. :)

Dude, its a cell phone. Your doing entirely too much on it. Besides, the movies would lag like crazy on the thing. Ive tried watching a 80 MB movie file using the core media player and the sound went on like normal even though the image stopped moving. Sorry to burst ya bubble.

Sometimes its too loud, especially on speaker phone. I think its too loud when I don't use speaker phone. I need to get a blue tooth headset. Ring tones take up alot of phone storage so you'll be limited to how many you can actually have. On my MDA, I had multiple tones for different people and things so I'm working on getting the ring tones to recognize on my SD card. ...

Thinking of transitiong from MDA to Wing, what can I expect ?
My MDA is starting to whig out on me, so I figured I'd take the big leap forward and get the Wing.
Some issues that scare me are:
1. I have alot of after market programs (ie SPB products and The Core Media Player) and I wanna know in advance if I will have any problems getting these programs to run on Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1.
2. I'm a right handed person, is it a big deal to switch from ...

I have the MDA from Tmobile for about a year now. I haven't noticed any of the problems the topic beginner had. LOL. Must be Verizon integration of the phone. They cut off so many options that the phone just may lose it. LoL.

I came to the same conclusions with my mda. I was really pissed when I saw the wing upgraded to micro sd. I shouldve expected but still... pissed. LoL. I already have alot of **** on my mda and I really dont feel like transferring it to a micro sd card.

Mine works anywhere I am and I use it at work on our wi-fi network. I can go anywhere I refuse to pay an extra $30 bucks a month just to use T-mobile's Hot Spot. LoL. I live in the South and Hot Spots are hard to find around here.

Its the "Cingular World Connect" feature and your right. If you pay that $4 bucks a month, you get to call internationally at a discounted rate. If you dont, you'll get charged out the a$$ for calling outside the US. T-mobile doesnt have that, they just charge a flat rate across the board. Its like the lesser of two evils kind of thing.

With Cingular prepaid, you are charged from the moment you press the send key on your cell phone. Now, with mobile to mobile, the call should be free. Please make sure you are calling a Cingular customer and if you are being charged while calling a Cingular customer, you are entitled to a refund for the that call and other calls you have made in the past. Just call Prepaid customer care and have them research the problem further. ...

Yeah I wouldnt think so. If thats the only one you have, I would stick with it unless your willing to pay for the nights and weekends with T-mobile. But if you ever change your mind or your circumstances change, come on over. Ill be waiting for you. :)

Thats great if you would like to switch but please remember that that $39.99 rate plan at 1500 minutes does not include free nights and weekends and mobile to mobile is extra at $6.99 a month. To get free nights and weekends, you end up paying a base amount of $59.99, which isnt bad either. However, at the same price with Cingular, one would get only 900 minutes, but with free nights/weekends and mobile to mobile. Think about ...

Yeah, I'll have to agree with sowhatsowhat. The phone is nothing special and over priced. My 2 year old Nokia 6600 has better features than that thing. The only way I would use it is if I got it for free.
Messaging Bundles
Recently, Cingular introduced new messaging bundles that really don't give the customer a variety of choices in prices and quantity. My question is if Cingular would like to really corner the market, why not offer more competitive packages and prices to their new and existing customers?
For example, one of their "bundles" includes 3,000 messages of any type for $19.99, while over here at T-mobile, we have UNLIMITED for $14.99.
Also, "MEdiaNet Bundles" go for $14.99 with 1000 anykind msg's and ...

Well sir, In my honest opinion. I would think that should go the Sony Ericcson W810i. (https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php? p=893). Its the phone that I plan on buying, unlocked of course, and using with T-mobile. Unfortunately, I work for Cingular but, In my opinion this is the best phone for you. I hope everything works out for you and best of luck.

Sir you might as well behind over because Cingular is going to FRACK you coming and going. I do work for them and yes, I do have T-Mobile service. I wouldn't leave them for anything. T-Mobile has again won the JD Powers award for Customer Service. Until Cingular gets their act right, they will continue to fail in this field.
