Has anyone seen the prices Walmart is charging for verizon phones? They are sick. An LG 8100 for $80 with a 2 year deal. Razors for 150. That's just the price. You don't have to wait for rebates to come in the mail.

Bitpim alert question

I imported my Outlook calendar into bitpim and in the calendar settings I disabled all alarms on impoted entries. But when I load the info onto my 9800 all of the alarms are enabled. Is there a way to have them disabled when they are transferred to my phone? Thanks.

Email Question

in the Palm Treo 650 (CDMA) forum

Is it possible to get email from outlook during a hot sync operation without using the internet? Just so it is on the device and then replies to the emails would also be held on the device until the next hot sync. I guess what I am asking, is there a way to just have replies put in an outbox then transferred and sent through outlook and my landline internet?

I emailed customer support with this question recently. They said I don't need a data plan and that I can request a data block on the account.

Syncing the 9800 w/outlook
Jan 31, 2006, 9:27 AM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

Is it possible to sync the 9800 with outlook and vice versa without paying for any extra services from verizon? I want to use it like the PIM functions of a PDA (contacts and calender only) so I don't really need or want any of the other smartphone/PDA functions or price. Thanks.
