Voice Dialing-why is it do difficult?
I just purchased the v9m through Verizon.
I had the original pink razr for the past 2 years.
When I purchased my original razr, I couldn't believe how annoying the voice dialing feature was, so I never used it.
I mean, you have to have total conversation with the phone before it makes your call and most of the time it doesn't understand you.
I was never sure if this was a Motorola issue or part of Verizon's interface.

No luck...I found a clip of the song, opened it, saved it as a mid file.
But when I tried to upload it to Pix place, it says it' an ivalid file type even though Pix place states:

I tried going to walmart.com and amazon.com, both of which allow you to sample 30 seconds of songs on an CD.
My Windows Media Player opened up, but there is no way to save it.
I did something (not even sure what) and saved it to my playlist, but it was a wpl file and when I changed the extension to mid or wav, it would no longer play.
Those sites don't have anything that says ...

Just called Verizon and they told me I would be charged.
I let the rep know that someone in the Verizon store told me otherwise.
The phone rep said it used to be that way (ha), but now there would be no charge only if you had the complete IN package - not exactly sure what that is and I don't much care.
So I told him I should be credited for the ones I sent since I was given false information.

wav, mid, midi
none of them work.
As for the $.25, I was told if I'm using Verizon dsl with a Verizon email address, there should be no charge to and from my phone...we'll see...I'll check my bill

Ok, after 3 hours I figured out how to change the file from an mp3 to a wav and/or midi file.
I also figured out with Nero how to crop the song.
BUT THE VERIZON WEBSITE STILL SAYS IT'S AN INVALID FILE TYPE?!?!?!?!??!?!?!

I just need to add a couple of things:
I'm on the Verizon network and
I have checked out Howards Forum...I was able to change the file type to a midi file, but the Verizon site still says it cannot upload it because it's an invalid file type.

Sending PIX and SONGS to my phone via email...
I recently learned that I can email pictures to my phone using pictures I have stored on my computer...using the Get Pix and Flix website I can upload the pics and send them to my phone for FREE...it's great.
Now I'm trying to do the same thing with songs, but most of the songs I have are:
1) too large - the site will only upload to a certain size, and
2) MP3 format - the site will only upload audio files ...
LAG WHEN SENDING CALLS
I've had the pink razr for just over a week and I'm now starting to notice a major lag when connecting calls...whether I dial a # and hit send, or go to my contacts and hit send, it takes about 7 seconds for the call to actually be sent...I'm not having any of the other lag problems people have described...but this one is majorly annoying...is anyone else having this problem???

I'm not sure where you bought your pink razr, but I bought mine online so that I would get the $100 instant rebate, plus I had my $100 New Every Two credit...check out the papers this weekend and verizonwireless.com...it's $50 cheaper...I just called and the rep told me I have to call the online support #, which doesn't open til 8am...but they should be able to give us the credit...check into it...

Silly Subject - the Banner feature
I don't understand why this phone only allows 12 characters for the Banner...when you go into the Banner setup, 3 lines are displayed...I thought maybe it was 12 characters per line, but I can't get to the second line to enter anything...it just boggles my mind that my old, smaller moto could hold a bigger banner...why such a big screen...and speaking of the big screen, I'm new to this phone...I haven't downloaded anything yet or taken video...wondering if while ...
Menu Features - Page 62&63 of manual
On Pages 62&63 of the manual it says you can show or hide menu icons (which actually works); and them says you can CHANGE menu features...but if you follow the steps: menu, settings&tools, display, homescreen, home keys, the only two options are to show or hide the icons, or to change the down arrow's function...why can't we change the function of all the other arrows???

Why isn't there anyway to back out of Menu options?...I've only had the phone a few hours and I'm trying to figure out all the basics...to back out of certain menu screens, you have to hit the clr or end buttons which brings you back to the home screen...not so convenient it seems...???

I see what u mean about the display themes...thanks...but the screensaver still doesn't work ??...and what is that little tab on the keypab below the "0"...doesn't have any purpose except to insure that if you pull it the keypad is going to pop right off...no wonder people have so many problems with the keypad

You're able to discern that I'm bitter and lonely from one comical statement I made about the price.
I was just making an observation that they're charging $50 more for the EXACT same phone in a differnet color...espcially since the grey phone was released just a month ago.
Is it discrimination againsat women???...maybe...but they'll be getting an extra $50 from me anyway since I prefer the pink over the grey.

Do you mean that screen stays red all the time - I don't think so.
Anyway, does anyone care that they're totally taking advantage of us ladies - charging $50 more for exactly the same phone aside from the color. Some nerve Verizon!!!!

What are they talking about there's no difference in price?!?!? The pink razr for Verizon is $50 more than the grey one. Check out Verizon's website.
