Just to correct your post: The Xenon can take a particular adapter to 3.5, just most adapters don't work. The one that the AT&T store sells works. Also, the Impression Max microSD card size is 16gb, not 8. I have the Impression so this is first hand info. There is also an equalizer, but there are only presets, you can't adjust it yourself (that I've seen). Presets like Rock, Pop, Classical, etc. Having owned both the Xenon and the Impression, the Impression ...

Did you try to flash your phone? If you did, you're going to have to flash/reflash it. If you did NOT try to flash it, take it back to the store and get a new one.

There is no software upgrade to take a V3 to a V3i. If you do upgrade your phone (via Cingular) they add an extension to your contract unless you pay the full phone price.

In looking at the CNET review for this, I also see responses from a dana_ford there. Probably dana_eddie here. If you'll click on her name, you will see that she's spamming other areas with the same product. It's fairly childish and juvenile. Posting it once is great. Six times is just idiotic. Motorola's phone tools are what's recommended for use with the Razr in any case.
