If I buy a 3rd party USB data cable (it does specifically say it works with the vx8100) and I already have VCAST music and Windows 10 on my PC (not from VZW essentials kit), will I need a driver for the PC and Windows 10 to recognize the phone when I plug in? I am waiting for the cable to arrive in the mail, but debating just getting the essentials kit if I will need a driver ...

I just did that upgrade and I am really pleased. And yes, you can use the same chargers (AC and car). The Bluetooth headset capability is great, the upgraded camera is nice to have and the VCAST is really cool. Sorry for all the questions tonite, but I am playing with the phone and new things keep coming up. Does anyone have insight on this? Also, my new, out-of-box vx8100 purchased on 1-16-06 came with v06 software. I see from an earlier posting on v07 that I am out of date. Do I have to go to the Verizon store for the new version or is there a download somewhere? Thanks!!
Call someone keeps restarting phone
When I use the Call Someone feature, with certain contacts, the phone just reboots rather than giving me a list? Is there a problem with my phone, or can I try something different?
camera problems
I can zoom with vide but not with the camera, is this right? Also, even with the flash on, I have yet to see it go off indoors. Any insights?

Thanks Lima Charlie -- I followed the steps and they worked great. I had a couple additional questions since I just got my vx8100 a few days ago and am still learning/playing with it:
1) Can mp3s (or VCast music for that matter) be used as ring tones? If so, how do you apply them?
2) I didn't want to buy the Vcast software and would rather just download my mp3s. As such, rather than a data cable, ...
