Re: AIM / Instant Messaging
Does aim run off data or txt messages? I know a lot of these new pda phones now except the sidekicks are using the incoming outgoing msgs as txt nd not under data which I believe is unfair since cingular charges a little to much for data just for web access.
What other features this phone have? Can you download google maps and any other useful apps?
AIM / Instant Messaging
I currently have a sidekick 2, and I been dieing to get rid of it since Jan 2006. I've been thru the Blackberry 8700c, Palm Treo 650, Cingular 8125, etc.
I right now have LG CU500 Phone + Sidekick 2 as a 2nd phone for internet.
I am very big with using AIM more then anything. My question is does this unit have AIM installed? Or is there any good versions of AIM to download?

What About AIM?
I currently have a reg cellphone & i have tmobile for the data service because of the good technology they have for the aim service and what not. I bought the treo 650 to test it out, and any version of aim i downloaded sucked required payment for after the trial period and didnt do nearly as close as the AIM does on the Sidekick.
Does the change to windows from palm mean that their is a solid good ...
Re: Pre-Paid Users
I use cingular for my phone service, and I have the sidekick for the data use only (AIM, Email, Web, Text Msg). I can't let go of the phone, I just returned the Cingular Palm Treo 650 because it doesn't compare to the sidekick as far as AIM wise, and sidekick is so much easier to navigate around, and you get unlimited text wit the data service.
Cingular wanted $39.99 for data + hadda pay for a text msg ...
