SIM cards = CDMA or GSM for LTE?
Does this mean VZW is changing to a GSM based network. Or will use CDMA but with SIM technology.
No show of the ext display functions?
Why wasn't the features of the ext display not shown?
XM Radio on VZW
I wonder if XM radio app will become available to Verizon customers?
Re: GSM SIM Locked?
I've read you have to keep a contract for 90 days. Then the SIM will be unlocked.
VERY COOL!
I like it. It's a hybrid between flip phone and touch screen phone.
Re: Just goes to show you CDMA is superior
Agreed. I've tried AT&T. Had T-Mobile for 1 year. Not Sprint. I always come back to Verizon. I've had Verizon since 2005. Look at a coverage map of rural America. Verizon has the BEST coverage of ALL providers!
Verizon Availibilty
Will this browser be available for Verizon Wireless?
Re: Since when..
I'm 23. I didn't get my first phone till I was 15 years old. I got a PrePaid Nokia. Basic phone. I now have the LG Voyager. I'm NOT a showoff. I just like to have a device with all in one. I'm fairly conservative, I use my phone for calls and taking pictures mostly. I use the texting and web every so often. Music some. I think kids now days under say 14 should have a older basic ...
Re: w315 and motorola phone tools / Verizon
I agree with the above post. The W315 is useless for downloading MP3 ringtones to the phone using BitPim or Phonetools. I bought this phone on my "New Every Two" thinking I could use either program to do it. But after 6+ hours with no luck I returned the phone for a v325i then returned It for a V3m (the phone I have now)(I swap ALOT  ) But never the less, good phone for other things just ...
Re: GreatCall / Great Phone, Simple
The site (gojitterbug.com) Great Call, say they cover ALL over the U.S. via CDMA. As long as they reach customers, For older people that is ALL that matters. Networks don't matter, as long as ONE will support them.
I like it it's simple and easy to use (so the pictures, etc say) Great for young kids or older folks.
GREAT JOB SAMSUNG, and MVNO, Great Call. :)
Version 3 & Ringtones
I've ordered a LG vx8300 and I know it has version 3, that means I can't play MP3s. Can I still use bit pim to upload mp3 ringtones to the phone?
Thanks.
Re: Compuer Does not see Phone using cable
When you "open" the phone and open the WMA/MOD player (My Music) at the "Get V Cast Music" press the right soft key, labeled "SYNC" this will put the phone's USB port into Windows Music Device mode. I had a hard time figuring this out also.
Re: mp3 player
I find it easy to place songs on the removable MiniSD card. Just use Windows explorer. The phone IS NOT compatible with itunes protected songs.
Problem playing DRM protected WMA files
I'm using a LG vx6100 USB cable and a 256MB card. When I download protected music onto the 9800 the phone says "Player Error, License Acquisition Failed." This is my CD, I ripped to my computer and DRM protected.
The file will sync ok to the phone just not play.

Using MP3 Ringtones and NEW FIRMWARE
I know this has probably been posted before. But I'm needing to exchange out my 9800 for another one that has the new firmware. Mine has previous firmware. I know I can enable the MP3 player in the service menu. But will I still be able to upload my custom MP3 Ringtones via BitPim, like I can now with the previous firmware?
Thanks,

New firmware , to upgrade or not to upgrade
I have a LG vx 9800, and I'm wanting to upgrade, but first I have a few questions. Like : 1) Can I enable the MP3 player via the "Secret Menu", 2) Can I use BitPim to upload my own MP3 ringtones like I can with my current version. 3) Can the MP3 player be "put in the background" and allow me to play music and browse the web like on the LG Chocolate. 4) Can I change the ...
THE V710 All OVER AGAIN
VZW did this with the Motorola V710 on the current firmware.
Hea Verizon GET OVER IT.
Maybe there will be a SEEM edit to re-enable this feature.
