Is there a reason they would just turn on and off, like bad software? Sprint is saying that it is because I dropped the phone. I dropped it in the first week I had it and I have had it since July of 05. You would think that if dropping it caused the problem it would have happened then.

I have talked to second level tech support and treo tech support and they had me do a hard reset. I have update the software and had the phone flashed. It still does not work right. I am going to take it to a technician in a corporate store to be looked at. I was told they know more than the reps at Alamosa stores, which is what we have here.

I have had Sprint for 6 years and have worked with the in the wireless industry for 4 years. I have carried Sprint, Nextel, and TMobile phones and in the same area, side by side, to compare coverage. No company is perfect. I have had signal on the TM in places that Sprint did not and vise versa. The only thing I have found that TM can do that Sprint can't is send and receive ...

I feel your pain. The same thing has happened to my 650 and I have not gotten much help on the issue from Sprint. I was told that I could have received a corrupt file, but I have not found it yet. I have done a hard reset to my phone, updated the software, and have had is flashed. Nothing works. You can try talking to Treo tech support, they are pretty knowledgeable.

Any sync I have ever done or linked the phone to was to my home computer and that has been acting fine.

Yes I have insurance, but if I make a claim, it will be my second in one year and I was told they would drop my insurance. I have to have insurance on my phone. Should I have to use my insurance for a warranty issue? I don't even know if this is a warranty issue or not.

Excuse me? I think you need to get a life and a better hobby than bashing people who are trying to find solutions to problems they don't know about! I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with Sprint and Treo tech support and have talked to six different Sprint associates in two stores. Posting this was my last resort. Get a life!

I was told that it would be a warranty issue and it is only 6 months old, but they won't do a warranty claim on it. Yes I have done a hard reset and update the software to the current 1.12 version. It doesn't work.

Because they want to have it right before they release it, unlike other carriers like Sprint or Alltel trying to get the walkie talkie feature out so they can say they have it when it really doesn't work because they released it to early. If you are looking for a high end Nokia, you can purchase an unlocked GSM phone right from Nokia. Make sure you get one that has the 850 mhz band. Just specify what you want and they should be able to get you into the right phone. We have had a lot of over-seas customers come in with some great phones that we can't get here in the US and they work just fine.

rsd317, I think you need to quit whining over the $15 charge and take a look at the big picture here. I have worked in the cellular industry for over four years with several carriers and TMobile so far has been the best to work with in any situation. They are offering to give you a brand new Razor!
