Swype does not come preloaded on the TB. You can register for the beta at http://beta.swype.com/ Not sure if it is open right now or not. But I also have SwiftKey which I love! I used it since beta, and have not looked back. I guess I just haven't taken the time to really get good at Swype. When I do try using it I get aggravated on how to do some things and switch ...

I use handcent, and all I do is after I have saved the sound I want to use is click the little gear icon at the top right of the screen while looking at the texts from that contact. Then choose Notification Settings, Notification sound, and then pick whichever sound you want from system ringtones. Or if you want to use music you have a Music selection.

You are getting your precious iPhone here in a few days. Why not just quit trolling here? Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE here is tired of hearing you bash a great phone just because you do not know how to use it! All you ever done here was talk down about the phone with issues that really no one else was having. And when someone *tried* to explain to you that it was not the phone but that you ...

If you can not post something helpful then just don't. All you do is come in here and bash the phone. If you hate it so much then just don't bother coming in here anymore. Everyone here knows how you feel about the phone so just move on. Everyone here is tired of listening to you cry and whine. Please I am asking you to just drop it and move along.

So I am curious. Which rom are you going with, and did you have any trouble installing it?

In Sapphire the Gem Settings have something that does the same thing. I have SetCPU installed just because... really I don't know why I do  I haven't really overclocked even though the stock kernel is overclocked to 800

I don't know why, but I forgot to mention a few apps that I feel are really "Must Have Apps". 1. Titanium Backup- Lets you back up your apps with data to your sdcard for when you switch roms you never really loose anything. It is free, but you can donate to get the ability to do mass backups and reinstalls 2. Root Explorer- most powerful file explorer. It cost about $4 in the market, but ...

Honestly I do not use clockwork so I know nothing about it. But in SPRecovery you 1. Rename the rom to "update.zip" minus the quotes. 2. boot into recovery 3. MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR PHONE 4. Push update.zip to /sdcard/update.zip 5. Tell your recovery to allow update.zip installation 6. Install from /sdcard/update.zip 7. Reboot After you do this, you will not be able to log into your Google account yet. You will have to install gapps next following ...

After you flash the ROM you will have to flash the Gapps file, but it is like that with all source builds. You can download it from http://wiki.ccroms.net/sapphire/release s/1.1.1 I am running 1.1.0. I just have been too lazy to update to the most current stable build. There are also many "Unofficial" builds. Only meaning that CVPCS (the creator of the ROM) didn't release it, but one of the guys on the dev team.

I agree with Menno. You might want to check your apps. My wife and I both have droids, and neither of us had any issues. If one of the apps that you were running wasn't updated to run nice with froyo that might be what is causing your issues.

Now if the phone does wipe, and you have to reinstall your apps, you don't have to rebuy the ones you bought already do you? Say for example you buy Beautiful Widgets, and your phone wipes.
