Anyone have any new info on which markets, if any, USCC is bidding on? Just curious. I know we are doing the bidding under Barat Wireless, but can't really find much info on our standings at all. Thanks!

You don't need to work for uscc to convert it, but to know the manufacturer you do.

Well- first of all, if you paid $449, then it wasn't another LG 6100- that would mean you upgraded the phone as well- sounds like a Razr or 710. The 6100 retail is 299.95.

The six month rule was (as per our AAE) changed though in the last few months, so that's why it's frustrating. That totally takes away the point of even having a rule if you're giving people the authority to break it due to what they feel is the best. I could understand it if it were where the supervisor or AAE had the thing called empowerment, but if it's soley based on any corp employee's opinion of what's best, ...

Yup- no offense- but if you honestly look into other carriers- almost everyone of them has the same type of rule or policy. It may sound dumb, but think of how much the store/USCC pays for the phone- if we gave you that phone for $75 (just an example number) w/o a renewal or plan, then we are losing hundreds of dollars- which for a big corp isn't much- but then think of how many other people would be ...

We honestly have had a lot of the same problems with the corporate stores doing things that they aren't supposed to. Like, now, even corporate stores are not supposed to be able to put a phone on the bill- u are supposed to pay in the store- yet that is still going on. I knew there was something in the works there, but I figured we'd have a heads up before we had customer's coming in with letters from Cellular One. I know that the transition isn't set to happen officially for a month or so, so why would Cellular One be sending out the letters already?

I don't see it as laziness at all and to be honest- you will never sign more than a few checks at a time, because nobody will want to work for someone so rude and so egotistical for a very long time. I had a customer call and tell me that they had rcvd a letter from Cellular One that they would be merging with USCC in the next few months. I had heard about the All-Tel area that was to become USCC, but hadn't heard anything regarding Cellular One. Well, one that I have done is radio remote! I am from a very small town and our store used (USED) to be considered the "bad" US Cellular store to go to, but having been here a year, I've watched business nearly double. Find what radio station is the most popular there and get a remote going. We did 2 dollar accessories and ended up with tons of people in our store. Are there any sports teams or schools ...

I keep hearing it should be anytime. I'm not sure why it's taking so long, but I am anxious about it. Our AAE said he couldn't give us a date but that it shouldn't be long at all. My guess is it will just happen all of the sudden out of nowhere like the last few phones that we released.

The thing that REALLY gets me is when a customer has insurance and comes in to the store and wants to file their claim- then when the rep for the insurance company mentions the deductable- they flip out. "Why should I have to pay anything for the phone? I pay every month to have the insurance!" I have a Moto 710 right now, but once we get our Razr's in tomorrow then I'm on to the Razr. The Samsung is another good one to think about.

I would strongly say, ditch the Moto 262. If you want good sound quality then maybe try a Nokia or a Kyocera Candid. The 710 has awesome reception, but it sounds like you're not wanting to pay that much, so I'd say go for the Candid- it's a solid phone, decent price and good quality by Kyocera for once.
