Re: Apps compared to iPhone
I read that the Android mobile platform has the 2nd larges app base behind Apple.
You're right, it's not the iPhone . . .
. . .and for this I'm glad. You see, I don't compare this device to the iPhone, but rather see it as a device that I'd really like to have. The iPhone is not for me, and the iPhone is not for others. So many of us are looking forward to the Droid.
You're talking about Verizon adding its apps, do you realize they can be removed? I currently have no VZW apps on my Blackberry. And are you ...
PC World Droid Review - Camera
PC World has a video review. She said that the pics are about on par with the iPhone. More MP doesn't necessarily mean better quality, as we've seen in the digital camera arena. Sometimes when you cram more megapixels onto an already tiny sensors, the image quality degrades. She also said that the flash can blow out the quality. The pic she took was in a room that already had a lot of light, so I wouldn't take that ...
Re: iPhone Threat NOT
I could care less about folks keep their iPhones, this phone will take off. I won't switch to AT&T for any device and don't think I'd move to the iPhone should VZW offer it in the future.
This phone/OS has huge potential and will only get better. The only phone with more apps is the iPhone, which is another reason I'm moving to the Droid. With the release of Droid 2.0 and its DSK, and all these new devices ...
8330/Voyager V1 shelved as well . . .
My Voyager and BB 8330 most likely just got shelved :)
Blackberry/Voyager replacement?
I currently have a Voyager for my personal phone and a BB 8330 for work. I'm already sold on the Droid. This may very well replace the aforementioned phones above :)
Luckily I'm up for NE2 through VZW, so I'll most likely be pre-ordering this one or ordering it on the 6th. Looking forward to the reviews.
Re: Email Integration
I've had the phone for 3 weeks now and yesterday configured the Mobile Email Software. The feature I really like about it is that it will give an audible indicator when a new email has arrived to one of the configured accounts, similar to the Blackberry Internet Service.
At the same time, you can close the MES to stop receiving alerts, another added bonus. So far I really like the MES on the Voyager.
e815 backlight issues with Motorola Car Charger
When i connect my e815 to my motorola car charger:
1. The backlight on the inner and outer displays remains fully illuminated, they don't dim or go off;
2. The phone gets very warm, even when not being used;
3. The charge rate is much slower than the wall charger, less than half.
I have:
1. Tried 2 brand new motorola car chargers;
2. Used the car chargers in more than 3 different vehicles.
When I use the motorola traver wall charger, the backlight on both ...
Re: E815 - Pictures
If you have a MicroSD card, you can transfer them to your PC using the SD adapter that comes with the SD card and a SD card reader for your PC.
