Nicely said. And fair. But I hate almost all LG's cuz they put that useless "voice command" button right where my thumb wants to go. Take away that idiotic button and I'd own the 8300. ps. Ansel Adams is the best. I have a 18 x 21 of his over my disputer right now. Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

I kind of chuckle when I read a 5-star review of a phone from a member that just joined today. Especially when they name themselves moto luvr. But I have lotsa friends :-O

Well done. 2 of my buddies are currently trying out the phone and will post their reviews within the next couple of weeks. I hope they give it a fair chance. One of the guy's name is Phone Skoop 2. :wink:

Your response could've been written by me Bakemike. I had a 4400 and loved it. Now own the E815 and love it even more. No land line. No dropped calls. :D

You don't want fair evaluations. If you did you'd be outraged that a negative review was deleted. And it's neither cuz nor cause. Technically it'd be "because". That is, of course, if one were concerned with grammar or spelling on a site like this.

...on 2 different networks. Wouldn't have any other phone. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I wouldn't use any LG phone if you gave it to me for free.

Blah blah blah. I do you a favor by recognizing your existence. MORe-ON this subject later. I have to get ready for an early round of golf while you have to get ready to go wash dishes at Hooters. Can't wait to see what my buddies say about the 8300. I know one of them was having trouble with earpiece volume.

If, if, if. That's all you can say and all you know cuz you don't know the facts. If you had any brains you'd be upset that some loser had a fair evaluation deleted. ( temporarily ). End of story.

Sad is the "person" that somehow conned the website regulators in to deleting a review of a phone that I tried and disliked. Now 2 or 3 of my friends will have their say. I told them to wait a few days/weeks though so as to not be obvious.

Good fair review Willy. If I were a text messenger I might not like the E815 so much. But I only send/receive about 6 messages/month. And I like the bigger size of it. Easier for me to hold onto. That's why I don't like the RAZR. Too easy to drop imho. Anyway Willy, good review without the defensive negativism. :)

I know about the 4 vs 5 bars. What I'm talking about here is a 2 to 3 bar difference 80% of the time.

Yes, in my 3 day test of the phone I noticed volume problems as well as reception problems. It always amazes me too when QA fails to catch obvious shortcomings.

Oh, and by the way. I had left a low "Review" rating on this phone so someone must've taken offense and had it deleted. Therefore I will be leaving another review of it shortly -- excuse me -- ahem - I mean my friend will be leaving a review of it shortly from his computer. And then , I know of a couple of people that have poor reception with this phone ...

I had both the E815 and the LG 8300 with me on a road trip of 300 miles here in Minnesota. The signal strength of the E815 was significantly greater than that of the 8300 80% of the time. So, if you're looking for reception, the E815 is the way to go. Period

Go to - phones - LG - 8300 - forum. A guy by the name of Theatermax has several good statements on the 8300. Both positive and negative. He is less biased than most of us, so go read what he has to say . :)

4.14 review rating from over 300 users. VERY few phones match this rating. But, to each his own. Ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different answers.

E815. Best cell phone ever invented. The ONLY negative is the old-style 2-pronged charging port. So what. The keypad is awesome. Reception is unbeatable. I like the meatiness to it as opposed to the RAZR which kept slipping out of my hands. E815 no if's, and's, or buts.
