Yes. The build quality is noticably better, with buttons feeling more solid and stable than on any other RAZR platform. The UI is slightly different, although still the same VZW standard UI. The most noticable difference, however, is that the RAZR2 almost never slows down or freezes up. That was the main reason I returned my Maxx.

I had my friend send me some, and it worked. Menu system was option>save sound>rename>set as (NOT OK)>ringtone. You have to save it with no spaces, and you can't even press the space button or it will give you an error message. I have also heard that you can send them via email to your phone, and save through the same process. I tried recording a voice memo to save to myself and that did not work. However, I ...

No, you can not view or reply from the outside screen. Personally, I'm somewhat unsuprised yet pissed. All it says is "1 New message." :evil: However, the outside screen is HUGE and looks very nice. And if by speakerphone you mean the voice recognition software, there is two ways to activate it from the outside: on the screen or with a side button. Seems redundant to me. And you can answer the phone with speakerphone when it ...

There is a speakerphone button on the side, but the phone must be open for you to access it. I believe that you can hold that button when someone is calling you when the phone is closed to answer it on speakerphone. You can set different wallpapers to the screens separatly, unlike the Sprint version. It comes with about 20 ringtones.

Well, I didn't upgrade technically but rather bought a MaxxVE outright for full retail and I returned it before the thirty days, thus getting my money back. I guess I'm not as concerned as you to get it fixed right away; I had to buy the RAZR2 outright anyway. The funny thing is that I didn't use my contract renewal to get the Maxx in the first place, so I have no idea how the renewal date on my ...

Thats funny because I just checked when I would be eligible for NE2 and it said June 2009 too. I'm actually supposed to be up for renewal in about a month.... I guess I'm going to have to call them about that too. How typical.

I just ordered the phone from the vzw site and paid the full retail of 469.99.... I'm not up for any renewal of sorts, but just upgrading. Whats this about the rebate? Did I pay an extra $100 or am I just not eligible? Please reply quickly, I want to cancel if it means 100 dollars.

Ok, so I don't get it. I have a A970 right now and am thinking I might "upgrade". Do you transfer the songs identically, or do you have to use WMP? I don't really want to transfer all my music from iTunes. And is the "media player" or whatever it is any good? I am thinking its not. Thanks

Ok so I just called VZW and the guy sounded very interested in the phone and was very nice, but said that they had no release date or specs on it. I didn't tell him about it actually being on the site, and he was hopeful that it would come out in a month or so! Also: Is Verizon getting the Dolce & Gabanna? I was too lazy to check. :)
