God Verizon is the devil....I just spoke with them over the phone because I couldn't get it to come out anywhere near that pricing and according to them, I should only be able to get the New Every 2 $100 discount. The $100 discount AND the Advanced data credit are supposedly one and the same. And the only way you get that is to choose a $45 a month plan. That ain't happening. WOW they make me angrier every ...

Whoa, where did you see anything about an advanced device credit for going to a PDA....I totally want to get that, but didn't see it. Not to mention when I was looking at the site they said that I could choose "No PDA/Smartphone plan" but there was only one option and that was for the unlimited plan making it $44.95 a month more, which I am NOT going to do. Can sync with outlook? I know this is most likely a resounding "NO" but if it had just a little PDA like functionality to it, I would be all over it.

This is EXACTLY my thinking. I want a new Treo on VZW, and I have been waiting for my contract to end since VZW hosed me on upgrade capability. Now I am afraid to get one, because I want something without the antenna for sure, and I can already see it. I get one of the old models, and then they come out with a new one similar to this. :cry:

The only one that I have seen for this phone is one that is for all RAZR's and you basically take the battery out and put the battery in it, not the phone, I love the RAZR, but I seriously hate phones that don't sit in a cradle to charge...it is ridiculous that in this day in age they would think people want cables everywhere on their desk/nightstand/counter/wherever else you keep your phone.

Will the phone work with Mobile Phone Tools and a USB cable?
and If so, will Mobile Phone Tools let you transfer files such as ring tones and images to the phone. This is my primary concern because this would easily take the place of OBEX.

Wait a second, if phone tools works, then can't you xfer files with that too, such as MP3 or Image files?? If I remember correctly (and it has been a while) I was able to do that with MPT's and My V710.....This would be a good thing if it does, then I wouldn't care at all about the lack of OBEX :lol:

To my knowledge there is no extended battery, and the reason that talk time is so much lower for CDMA phones versus GSM is in the technology itself. CDMA uses more power to transmit and recieve which is why in a lot of well established areas, such as the Phoenix area where I live, Verizon has VASTLY better coverage and connection quality than other providers.

I totally agree with you, I could care less what people think of VZW or for that matter what they think of the service that they are on. I didn't ask that, I don't want to know that, so shut up and stop flooding this forum with posts.

ok, so a few questions
Anyone know if this phone is going to be able to use mobile phone tools to sync. When I checked the specs here is says "-" which I take as a no, but that seems stupid. I currently have a treo 650 and I really want the RAZR for size, but it isn't worth it if I can't sync at least.
Also, is there anyway that you could get MP3's on the phone as ringtones without having to use ...
